I've actually met her at CES during a charity event and she seems like a nice person. I'm sure she has a lot of male followers simply because she's hawt. I like her whimsical style, it's a little different than many that are more "all business". That said, I don't follow her or any particular reviewer.

He has some good videos but I don't like his personality.
MKBHD has really nice style and videos, so clean and professional. iJustine is funny, that's why I love her :) I don't think MKBHD is pro-Apple, at least not so much like Apple Queen (iJ) ;). Mr Mobile watched once.
Jonathan Morrison has also really cool videos (nice montage like that one about Mac mini).

If I watch tech reviews on YouTube it is

MKBHD
Mobile Tech Review
and
Dave 2D

It is rare though, except when I want to learn about new computers with little fuss. Like Apple trying to make their stores social places, not for me.

Tell me how the product performs, how you use it and who it is good for. Easy. Any kind performance for the camera or overbearing style is not my thing.
Lisa from MobileTechReview is the best!

Sometimes I feel like people who hate tech youtubers are honestly just jealous that millions of people don't watch them for their opinions or have tech companies give them "free" tech ahead of the masses.

Whether you like or dislike a particular tech reviewer they are people usually hard working people who happened to turn a passion into a job by utilizing their skills, access and a little bit of luck. That is something I think most people strive toward, if you don't like them then stay off youtube, they are really easy to avoid.

Why are people giving Justine a hard time? She literally calls herself “iJustine”... Of course she’s an Apple fan girl! But you know what, she gets excited over android devices, and game consoles, and other tech. She’s not about super technical reviews. She’s a tech geek who just loves sharing her enthusiasm. I find her videos really fun and refreshing compared to all the cynicism, fanboy rage, and complaining online. She makes unboxings feel like Christmas morning. :D

Ditto this—I normally HATE review videos and the like and watched her photography-based review of the Xs video this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I actually didn’t hate her. She was genuinely excited about the new tech and it showed, and made me even more excited for Friday!

If your first comment is about her looks instead of her work, then look deeper inside yourselves and wonder why that is. This doesn't happen with male YouTubers. Rarely do people comment about their looks.
Sorry man but Philip (EverythingApplePro) is cute too ;) haha
Ok TBH - I watched them both cos I like the content they make (and iJustine is also funny), but it's always nice to see beautiful people, right? And what is wrong with that? ;)

There’s many types of reviewer on YouTube, some are extremely technical, like gamers nexus, going down to component and sub component level, most are in the middle, a bit technical, a bit user experience, Justine is mainly about the user experience, how it feels, how it is to use, and her genuine enthusiasm shines through. It’s just nice to se someone get so hyped up about new tech. I wouldn’t say she’s a tech reviewer, I’d class her as more of a blogger who loves tech, and that’s ok, there’s loads of content creators on YouTube for any style of review you could want. Never base anything off of one review or reviewer. Take a spread across many and form your own opinions based on a verity of sources. I’ve never seen the “S” phones as a must have, they’re on a tick tock cycle. Tick, the no changes, there’s big improvements in one or more areas, case redesign etc. Tock - the “s” phones, refinement of last years with slight improvements. The S phones aren’t really for people that had last years flagship, I think they’re more for the people that have been hanging on to an older phone because it’s been “good enough” but they want a new phone and don’t fancy one that’s almost a year old. Also imagine the hate if Apple decided to only release every 2 years

I don’t think having the iPhone since first release should be some barometer. I’m sure there’s thousands on here who can say they bought every iPhone.

The issue I have is she offers nothing constructive and is the ultimate arse kisser. Reviews should always be subjective. Her reviews are just marketing, which doesn’t sit right with me.
I feel very much the same way, her reviews are enjoyable on a superficial level walking around the products and her excitement and genuine love for the products does create a nice feel to the videos but there’s a bit of a see/hear/speak no evil when it comes to Apple in particular. It’s not helpful in the same way Dave 2D or Mobiletechreview are with their more objective styles.

Detroitborg is in the same category as ijustine for me as well, his product walkthroughs are immaculate, incredibly detailed and well presented but he just won’t voice any constructive criticisms, it’s wall to wall praise. Watching his 2015 and 2016 MacBook Pro reviews, you can literally hear him praise MagSafe functionality and then commend Apple for removing it because he wasn’t a fan of it being a proprietary connector... ok so why not say a problem with MagSafe is that it’s an expensive proprietary piece of tech in the 2015 review, or point out what you are losing in the 2016?

You see, but I go to YT to entertain myself not to start a war in my head or in the comments.
I love iJustine the way she is. I'm Apple Fan since 2008. And I don't want to change the team at any point. I'm not feeling a sheep, I'm just happy user, just like iJustine.

Dave2D I like watching too, his videos are really calmly and well-produced. iJ is more about the show and personality. Dave is transparent.

I was also watching many reviews of MobileTechReview, but I'm not native English speaker and sometimes Lisa is hard to understand. But she has got knowledge and her reviews are also good quality, even if they lack in fancy montage and footage.

It's all part of Apple's marketing strategy. Other phone makers do the same thing.
It's never about giving the phone early to the fairest reviewers to get the most honest opinions.

Well it’s not that I particularly don’t like her reviews, I’m just saying as a potential customer hearing nothing but the good isn’t as useful as getting both sides, which MTR and D2D offer consistently. I can see how ijustine(‘s style ;)) appeals to some people and that’s fine, it’s ok people have different tastes. I agree on trolling and flaming - it’s pathetic.

I watched the video and thought it was nice. I like her. Frankly, I'd rather watch her than some officious old guy.

I love her videos. Unfortunately her content is not for you, and that's okay. There are other youtubers out there that might peak your interest or tickle your fancy. You do not have to watch her videoss‍♂️, but to create a thread hating on her is wack.

Gotta be in it to win it
Didn’t know who ijustine was until I read this thread. The only “reviews” I find useful on YouTube are cars.

For Apple products macrumors provides all of the information one needs in order to make a purchase decision.:):apple:

There was one particular video I liked when she reviewed a MS computer, it might have been a studio pro pc or named similar. And she was doing the video in her kitchen and trying to do face unlock whilst climbing onto her kitchen counter! It was amusing. I cannot think of any other reason why I liked that video!

And this is why Apple only sends certain people their products.
Regardless of what he says about iPhones I find his videos very irritating due to the fact he shouts and over dramatises everything he says. I appreciate he’s popular but I tend to watch the first 30 seconds of his videos and decide it’s time to search again.

Well yeah I could have predicted this from him. I wouldn’t even bother to watch it.

He’s always pulling stupid faces in the thumbnail. Annoying.
