This thing has been on my phone for a few days, while I like it, I'm disappointed that its near impossible to get clean. It's really visible under lights...

I don't understand what you mean by it's impossible to get clean. Have you tried using a microfiber cloth? A couple seconds with a microfiber cloth and it's virtually spotless.

I have mimes feather glass (0.15mm) with their aluminum button and the button sticks out by maybe a mm. I like the feel though.

Still feels better then without aluminium home button? I'll order then one! U got a spigen or a ebay one? Since i dont really like u feel a small edge. (Well sounds now a hugher problem then it is) But just like it perfect.

Without the protector, I could just use my shirt or whatever to clean the screen. With it, not so much. Yeah a microfiber cloth works pretty well, but I didn't think I would need to...

Overall I do like it, it's definitely much better than old screen protectors I've used years ago. You barely notice it's there. :)

It actually gets easier and easier to clean as time goes on. Mine has been on a few weeks now and I hardly ever have to do much cleaning to it.

One of my major issues as well. I have their regular protector I'm going to put on the wife's phone.... I think I'll slap the mime on here pretty quick.

What he said.

I am trying to understand the posts about cleaning the Flex, and must believe I am surely missing something because I can clean mine with anything without problems.

I have used the included cloth, cloths that I have received with my eyeglasses, paper towels, real towels, both dry and wet, shirts, t-shirts, etc. and the screen protector always cleans like new.

So I don't know if maybe I got a screen with better coating, or no coating at all (which I would doubt, since my fingerprints don't seem to smudge the glass too much).

I've had mine on for 2 weeks now.

Same here, about 3 weeks I or so...

I got a mime one. It's not perfectly flush but I like the tactile feel of it.

Update to my prior posts - #71 and 78, pages 3 and 4 of this thread:

Because my 5s iPhone arrived with mysterious glitches and anomalies - Apple immediately agreed to send me a 2nd brand new 5s.

This has given me an opportunity to compare a naked 5s, before returning it, with the 5s, set up yesterday.

First of all....I completed the replacement set-up before I put on the screen protector.
Whilst doing so, I left in place both the front and back plastic protective coverings which Apple put on the phone before it's shipped. This kept the screen - dust and smudge free when setting it up - right up until the moment I was ready to put on the screen protector.
Also, I didn't set the fingerprint ID prior to doing so - as I didn't want to pull away any part of Apples protective covering.
Once I was ready to affix the screen protector - I turned on bathroom shower (see many posts above which recommend this for creating a dust-free environment), room quickly steamed up, I lay everything out on a clean bathroom surface - and meticulously followed the included instructions (the tape "hinges", by the way, are simple and ingenious.)
Once all was lined up perfectly, using the taped "hinges" I opened "the book cover", pulled away the back layer adhesive film (#2) completely, slowly closed "the book" cover again, used the included microfibre cloth to press/sweep along the top protective layer (#1) - and then pulled it off, together with the taped hinges.
To my utter confusion - when I removed this top film - a second film, apparently taped to the bottom edges of the 2 "hinges" - came away as well. (More about that in a moment....)
I couldn't see a single bubble, air pocket or blemish. Nevertheless, I still used the microfibre cloth, as suggested - but was totally flummoxed by the TWO films  (I subsequently realized that I'd never removed Apples plastic from the back of the phone - but that was only after the following........)
I thought I'd somehow pulled away the screen protector itself and that the screen was "naked"
Couldn't believe I'd screwed up so royally. How did that happen? Where the heck is the screen protector.....it's definitely not on the screen, I thought. Did I just end up pulling it off together with Layer #1?
Well...this is what I discovered:
Remember - I still had the other naked 5s to which I could and did compare this "replacement" 5s. At first I saw absolutely no difference between the 2 screens. None! The edges of both screens were straight as an arrow.
However - upon scrupulous, microscopic inspection - I finally saw an infinitesimal difference around the 2 Home buttons.....and I now had the 1st and only visual hint that there was anything at all covering the new phone screen. And that's when I realized I hadn't screwed up - to the contrary - the Flex screen - when applied carefully and patiently - is truly invisible.
And can be 100% bubble, blemish free (as it is for me)
Once I realized I had actually applied it - I then set the fingerprint IDs and put the Apple leather case on. It fits perfectly.
I haven't had my phone long enough to know how this Flex screen protector will hold up to continued use.
I find it cleans easily with microfibre cloths.
Dragging a finger down the screen, using a bit of pressure, does cause a slight squeaking noise. This doesn't happen at all on naked phone - but one wouldn't scroll using pressure, right? And so I can't see why this might matter at all.
When comparing exact same pages and web sites etc. side by side, in the same light - colours look as vibrant as on the naked 5s screen, whites look as white and blacks as black.
So.....I'd say.....Yes, go for it. I'm glad I did.....:)

btw: For those still questioning whether this item is plastic or glass....I'd refer you (again) to my post #78, mentioned above, in which I quote directly from an email received from the owner of the iloome company, in which he answers that very question.

Naked iPhone (or pure by bodyguardz) I swipe the screen against my shirt, one swipe and it is clean. I must physically place my cleaning rag on the screen with a finger and actually "rub" the entire screen to get it clean with the flex in place. The difference is between a single swipe on the shirt and rub down to get the screen clean.... see now?

Their oleophobic properties in their flex protector is majorly sub par when compared to naked or BG pure.

Well I somehow got a nasty scratch on my iloome yesterday, still trying to work out how it happened because I was sleeping on a charter bus with just my phone, headphones, and glasses with me. Strange.

OK. Tried that now, and sure enough, i need two swipes to clean mine. But that really does not bother me at all. Usually, I don't clean my screen with my shirt. With the flex, I usually don't need to clean my screen in 2 days or so. So what I do is, every two or three days, before going out in the morning, I take my cleaning cloth and give my screen a 3 to 5 second swipe. Clean as new.

Don't want to make it sound like it's a major issue BUT I'm simply comparing it to other products/situations and when I do that it's quite sub-par.

I do have one of their thicker protectors and I'd be willing to bet it's oleophobic properties are much better. I don't mind the extra thickness so for me that extra performance trumps thinness.

I do like the flex as a protector, seems to be holding up well to scratches and such. I just gave it a once over and saw very minimal micro swirls so am very pleased with it's durability. Was probably the easiest instillation of any protector I used thanks to the hinge tape. I believe I'll use that method every time now. Before I would just line and drop straight down, this method worked better and mine's perfectly aligned.

So you left on Apple's protective covering until you applied the iloome? Did you clean the phones glass after you removed Apple's protective covering before you applied the iloome or did you just remove Apple's covering and directly apply the iloome with out any cleaning? Thanks.

Hi. I've already applied two of these to two different iPhones. In both cases, I left Apple protective covering tip the last minute. Applied the "hinge" tapes as per instructions, and went to the bathroom to do the "steam" procedure. Once there, I triple-check the interaction between Apple's protective cover and the iPhone screen. If I don't see any specks of dust or any bubbles, I go ahead and remove both the iPhones and Flex's protective covers and apply without any further cleaning. (I just don't trust that the microfiber cloths would not introduce more dust, in fact, when cleaning over the protective covers I can visually see specks of dust that the microfiber leaves behind).
Both iPhones were visually clean, so in both cases I installed without cleaning, and the installation was perfect.

Ditto to above (When you leave Apples protective cover on till the Flex has been lined up perfectly and hinge taped to phone edge - remember to remove Apples back cover)
Result: Perfection!
Best advice.....Patience! plus:
Great lighting, steamy surroundings, hinge tape, a few microfibre cloths (in case one does leave dust specks)
In summary....this seems an absurd attn. to inconsequential minutiae- but you know what?
It pays off.
Totally
Enjoy your phone.....
