Mine is now showing "Preparing For dispatch" (to UK).
:)

Whaaaat?! :) Exciting!!!! Mine's still 'Order in Progress', but I did order around 6pm, which was 3 and a half hours later than most people will have!

Chuffed for you, maxq! :) Really looking forward to reading people's posts, as I think mine will arrive January 3rd, and by that time, I think a lot of people will have made some informative posts about it, which will be great to read! :)

My delivery has just updated from 4 Jan - 11 Jan to 9 Jan - 11 Jan. That's for delivery to UK, ordered 16th December (I had an earlier order but cancelled it). The charge appeared as pending in my cc account yesterday, however. That sucks, I was hoping it would come forward.

Thanks! Even more exciting, it's now changed to dispatched, with delivery expected 3rd Jan! I guess that might mean yours will come up with delivery due on the 4th, but time will tell. I'd expect yours to start preparing to ship any time now. The Christmas excitement has started early, just a shame it won't actually be here for Christmas day but it will be nice to still have one present to open when the festive season is all over and a new year of work is looming up.
:D

UPDATE: Weird - The dispatch email says delivery 3rd Jan but I just checked through the tracking page and it says delivery on the 27th! Not sure which I believe now, but I thought it was a bit odd if people in other countries who shipped around the same time as mine were delivering before the new year and the UK wasn't delivering till days later, AIUI they're all coming from China and it's hard to see why it would take that much longer to get to the UK than say the US, so maybe the 3rd was a worst case estimate. Or maybe the 27th is a "best of all cases" estimate that might slip! Who knows, I don't mind so long as it firms up early enough to make sure I can be at home as I'd hate to miss the delivery, so I'll be watching the tracking with bated breath (shades of 2013). I just checked it on UPS and it definitely says the 27th on there, so I guess that's one day I'll be staying in! Maybe yours will be here before the end of the year after all.
:)

Ohhhhh! Wouldn’t it be nice if it dispatched from the UK today and arrived tomorrow! :p
Well maybe mine won't quite make it here tomorrow, but as I've just found out it may be a bit sooner than I thought! Looks like Santa's reindeer are faster than usual this year.

Interesting, so yours is a UK order and it's coming from China? I wonder why they're not making them in Ireland like the rest of the high-end iMacs.

I have no idea, but the UPS site shows it arriving at the Shanghai depot at 21:05 local time today, so it definitely does seem to be coming from China. I'm preparing now for several days with a running stopwatch and Google Earth Pro open all the time...

That's a shame, seems like no pre-Christmas deliveries then. Apple PR said they would be in stores by now, which has proven wrong.

Shipped! It’s coming from CN. 10 core / 2TB SSD / 64gb ram / Vega 64

2-3 business shipping so I guess it will arrive shortly after Xmas.

From:
TECH-PRO SHANGHAI COMPUTER CO LTD
SHANGHAI CN”
Delivering on 12/26. Oh well, was hoping before xmas but I guess not. :)

Mine has left the Shanghai manufacturing facility yesterday and is at the Shanghai FedEx location, headed to Austin Texas for a deliver on the 28th.

Screenshot times are shown local (CN)

My iMac Pro was ordered and paid for immediately through PowerMax/Oregon (an Authorized Apple Store). I assume they don't monitor the order status or shipping status incessantly as they have other things to do. However, Apple does send PowerMax a note when one of their orders ships out and then PowerMax will notify their customer it's on its way. When PowerMax receives my iMac Pro order they ship it to me immediately via UPS and send me the tracking number and it will get to my doorstep overnight. So far I've not heard from PowerMax. :D

PowerMax is great for trading in old Apple gear. I grabbed my old unused gear off the shelf as well as my trusty 6-core MP6,1 and a very old 27" Thunderbolt Display with a FW800 port on its backside and it all fetched a nice sum of $4,025 in trade in value.:D I'm glad I held onto the Display's box as PowerMax demands the display ship to them in its original box. PowerMax pays for the trade in shipping cost as well.... Nice of them.:) When PowerMax receives my trade in gear and check it out OK they credit me for the $4,025.

IIRC the ordering system said I could have it delivered or pick one up in store at around the same time, but both dates did change according to what spec I selected. Maybe they will have one or two of the more common specs in stores real soon.

Or of course it could just be that Apple PR got caught out by their own reality distortion field!

Not sure if you guys have seen this article:
http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/12/21/apple-begins-shipping-first-imac-pro-orders

But seems like the shipment was being held up in Shanghai for some reason, hence why they're not in-store yet. Based on all of your shipments on the move today, I'm hoping they show up in store by Saturday or Tuesday. I'm having issues with my current Late 2015 iMac and I'm in the middle of a few projects. Would love to get this thing up and running before or right after Christmas.

10 Core, 64GB, Vega 64, 1TB. Ordered on launch day.

In Transit from Shanghai to Seattle via FedEx. It seems like it may have cleared importing and it is now listed as "In Transit." Estimated delivery is 12/28.

I missed the note that the trackpad isn't available for post-purchase and am still a bit angry about that - hopefully they'll reconsider once supply and demand catch up.

Preparing to ship!

10-core, 64gb, 1TB, 8GB Video, Trackpad

Ordered on launch day around 11AM Central, in store

Still estimating Jan 4-9 delivery -- really hoping for closer to New Year's

My 10-core iMac Pro will be ready for pickup on December 29 instead of January 8! That's great news. I hope Apple keeps it up and makes us Pros happy in the future with better and faster products. I just wish for a better, customizable keyboard and a more professional mouse. I use a Microsoft keyboard and a Logitech mx master 2 mouse with tons of options to tweak.
I can't wait for the new super iMac!

...and just got my tracking number!

No estimate yet, but hopefully it will be here right after Christmas

Mine just reached the "Export scan" stage, so it's still in Shanghai but that was three hours ago so hopefully there will be some more movement soon (not that I'm checking regularly or anything). I did hear that today's the day Santa starts collecting packages from his factory in China...
