sprint

is there anyone to help me sprint 4s unlock for the oversea usage? Whichone is the easyest and cheapest way ?

Keep monitoring for next few days. People who got their phones unlocked through the same seller are reporting that they got locked again. Not trying to scare but keep on checking the IMEI sites for unlock status and your phone as well.

Thanks. Will do.

Tried popping in a Sprint SIM card earlier, but found out that domestic carrier SIMs don't apply to unlocks.

What about www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk?

Of course, I know they aren't official, but charge only 20 quid and claim to be able to do any network in the world (says Softbank Japan is currently on a preorder which is weird.)

hmmmmmm...

Looking into the site a bit more and it looks a bit dodgy, there are lots of great review sites that look fake and setup to promote the original site. Usually that is a bad sign.

It's weird that a scam site would say they don't Support soft bank unlocking yet, but will soon....

If they were a scam, they would just say they do and run away with the cash.

I might try calling them.

I also bought an unlock from him today. I got the email saying my 4S was unlocked. I restored the iPhone twice and iTunes never prompted me saying it was unlocked. Just sent the guy an eBay message.

Did you check those online IMEI checkers and what is it showing there ? Locked or unlocked ? There are at least 4 IMEI checkers i know and for mine it shows unlocked everywhere. Just that i am yet to connect phone to iTunes as i will receive the phone only tomorrow.

Yeah, I checked two sites from this thread. One says I'm locked, the other says unknown.

In that case i would suggest you contact the seller who unlocked for you. In my case what happened was that i checked those IMEI sites at like 10 CDT and it showed me Locked but after an hour or so i received email from unlock fusion that it is unlocked and now those IMEI sites were showing Unlocked. So for me at least those sites have been pretty accurate.

I bought the unlock from that seller as well. I contacted him after I was unable to get the "Congratulations, your iPhone is unlocked" from iTunes. I still haven't gotten a reply.

I restored my phone has soon as I got the email saying my 4S was unlocked.

*EDIT*

s-url.ro is now saying, "SIM LOCK: Server is down! :("

*EDIT* x2

Now it's LOCKED :( I was supposed to be selling this tomorrow guess that's not happening now. Hopefully Unlock Fusion gets back to me.

OK UPDATE!@#!@#

I got my micro SIM in the mail today. I transferred my account to the new SIM and plugged it into the phone, but I got No Service. I just tried to restore, and when it finished restoring, I began activating it. iTunes DID NOT give me the Congratulations message, but within 30 seconds, I got signal and am officially unlocked on T-Mobile now. I was unlocked 2 days ago, and iphoneox.com still shows that the SIM lock status is unknown and s-url.ro still shows that my phone is locked. I guess my phone is an exception to a general pattern. :D
Also, before I restored my phone, whenever I deactivated with SAM and reactivated with iTunes, I would get the Congratulations message. I will update if I get relocked. Good luck to you all.

Looks really good based on listing and feedback. I haven't found a bad service on eBay, but I was using the first link because they had an automated form to submit the IMEI. I just used another one that unlocked it overnight for me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Permanent-f...008?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item460713a278

I think mobilehotshots raised their price because they had to deal with all the relocks. Once those clear, they'll probably be able to offer the unlock again. I think all services use the same unlock method to factory unlock your AT&T IMEI. There's clearly a more complicated procedure for Sprint/Verizon.

Unlock Fusion got back to me after the message I sent. Well, I opened a dispute and he got back to me a lot quicker (love how that works).

Apparently my iPhone is unlocked from what he's seeing on his end. I'm going to restore my iPhone again and see what happens.

Sprint will unlock your iPhone for free to use Internationally.

Sprint did not unlock it because i am not a sprint customer. So i need a person who has sprint account will unlock my phone with his account.

Is there anyone here to help me? I am ready to pay some..

I have got an iPhone 4S locked to Vodafone UK and since i will be traveling in a few days I need to get it unlocked. Could you guys please recommend me a good unlock service which doesn't charge too much and is safe too.

Thank you.

I am having my iPhone 4S coming in mail today and it has been already unlocked using unlock fusion. I am yet to connect it to iTunes and such. I know the phone is on iOS 5.1.1 but i dont want to update to iOS 6 and if i do a restore i know it will update to iOS 6 as the window of iOS 5.1.1 might have closed.
In such a case, what do you suggest ?
As soon as i get the phone, should i just put my tmobile microSIM and plug into iTunes and see if i get Congrats message ?
If i dont get message but still i get tmobile signal then i should stop bothering about the message ?

Or if i am hell bent on getting the message then should i jailbreak and install SAM and deactive using SAM and then reactive using iTunes to get the message ?

Alrighty then, the unlock from Unlock Fusion is working. I went to a T-Mobile store and put in their activated micro-sim. Worked like a charm. No getting the "Congratulations, your iPhone is unlocked" message was what was worrying me the most.

I am considering unlocking my phone before traveling to Italy in 5 weeks.

Are some unlocks relocking after the new iOS6 update?

Can AT&T tell if it was unlocked illegally?

Do I have to jailbreak too?

What are the important things I need to know?

My 4S is on iOS 6 and the unlock worked perfectly. Illegal? I wouldn't say that it is.

No you do not need to jailbreak. The unlock is forever and you can update freely.

To be honest, it doesn't really matter whether or not you get the Congratulations message or not. At the beginning, when people were getting official unlocks from AT&T, about 1/2 of the people weren't getting the message either but they still found that they were unlocked. As long as you get service from the SIM on your iPhone, then you're unlock.

Just another vote of confidence for unlock_fusion on ebay. Ordered yesterday and just got my email from him notifying me of unlock. Checked my imei online and it shows as being unlocked.

Luckily i did not have do anything. The phoen arrived as if it came from factory. I put tmobile SIM and as soon as the phone started i got signal and i connected to iTunes and got the message as well.

Probably because it came as a new phone unactivated so it was technically already restored. Very nice to hear though. Congratz!
