I noticed SMS messages I was sending from my Mac through the Messages app were failing to send for about 5 minutes or so. It appears to be working again for me.

When did Apple get so bad at communicating issues to its users? We still don’t know why we got logged out of our accounts the other week or how year old previously deleted photos can suddenly re-appear right?

Some companies do a stellar job at monitoring and communicating about network issues. Apple has a Status page, but seems to be updated only manually, which is a shame. Should be a real-time system status, with manual updates added as needed.

The iMessage service that Apple users to send messages to one another appears to be down for some users, and messages are failing to go out or are taking an extra long time to send.

There are numerous reports about the issue on social networks and a spike of outage reports on Down Detector, but Apple's System Status page is not yet reporting an outage.

In Arizona too … i think Apple is testing RCS today so they can demo it at WWDC 😊

Is RCS unreliable? Apple will be managing their own RCS servers, but any iMessage outage will likely mean an RCS outage.
Yeah a lot of android users complain about rcs because rcs on android comes in different versions. Carriers, the manufacturers and google themselves have their own versions of android so it isn’t always the same version and isn’t reliable. (Google it).

I’m sure apple will be fine with their version.

It's down in California, yet apple's status page says green. Lmao... let's face it, those colors never change.
