Most definitely returning my Incipio Lexington case. I bought a cheap $29 Belkin case from my local Walmart to use until my Lexington got here, and it is 10 times better than the Lexington. Calling customer service tomorrow and sending this back.

What type of Belkin did you get?
I had Incipio send me the Smart Feather to replace my Lexington.

Ok, so I hate the case...not to mention the magnets aren't working.

I got them to send me out the Feather (in black) with a pre-paid return slip.
Once they get the return they'll credit my account the $4 difference.
I'll end up getting the black leather Smart Case from Apple.

The reason I hate the case is because it seems impossible to shoot a video or take a picture with the cover/flap on it?

At least with the Smart Case I can take it off then pop it back on.

From my understanding, with the Smart Feather you can't just take off the Smart Cover anytime you wish to do so. The Smart Feather I think anchors the SC to the iPad, thus making it immovable (which is considered a plus by many, as sometimes the SCs tend to come off without wanting to do so). From what I've heard, if you didn't like that, the Belkin Snap Shield or (when it comes out) the SwitchEasy cover buddy might be more suited?

Anyone else can chime in as I don't have a feather but plan on buying one in the near future when the other colors come out.

Yes, that is definitely what the Smart Feather does. It locks over the Smart Cover hinge to prevent it from coming off.

Some people like that, some don't. I ordered mine for that purpose. Should be here this afternoon.

Well regardless...the smart cover can be rolled into a little triangle.
I can do that and tuck it behind the iPad to shoot a video.

The lexington had one fold point so it seemed impossible to take a pic/shoot a video.

Does anyone have any pics/videos with the new Smart Feather?

I just received my Lexington. You can fold the cover in on itself like an accordion and the camera works fine without it hanging down. As far as the magnets go I don't really care about the sleep/wake function but these guys straight up lied the packaging clearly states it's a magnetic cover, but in reality like others have stated there's no magnets in it at all that's false advertising. I do like the case though, but I'm putting in for a replacement just on principal.

I looked at the video of the case. It looks great. Don't care if it doesn't have magnets. I hate those damn magnets anyway. Couldn't stand my smart cover. Takes less than a second to press the sleep/wake button.

----------

That case looks pretty cheap . How much did that cost?

I don't like how flappy the cover is

You have no idea what "cheap" means.

Looks like this case isn't any good, that's too bad.

Mine is out for delivery right now, but my hopes aren't so high anymore.

Looks like I'm gonna pick up the Belkin Snap Shield + Apple Smart Cover from Best Buy today.

People are just saying that cause the sleep/wake doesn't work. They'll be fixing that. Otherwise, outside of the $150 vaja cases, this is the best looking one I've seen.

The smart cover leaves scuffs where it attaches to on the iPad. Just been my experience.

I really hope people aren't knocking the Lexington case just because the sleep/wake function isn't working. That can be fixed easily and I'm sure there CS department will send out new cases to all of us without even sending this one back.

The case is outstanding IMO. It's slim, professional looking, feels like great quality, and the snap in case is perfect. All the cutouts are perfect.

I personally think it's a great case and gonna keep this along with my Moko Slim folio. For $35, this is a great case.

Here are some pics :D

It really does look like a great case. I like how it is thinner than most folio style cases.

Yes it's a nice case, but it seems folks go to test the sleep/wake function confirm that it isn't working then go on a rant about how the case sucks. Funny how no one says why they hate it other than magnetgate. One guy did mention having a issue taking pics with it, but they clearly didn't make an attempt to fold the cover over to allow taking pics without removing the case.

I totally agree with you. That's why you need to make your own decision instead of listening to folks on these threads. I felt like the case looks and feels so good on the iPad that I really don't care about the magnets. Yes it should work as advertised but sending it back for that reason alone when Incipio is agreeing to make it right is just being unreasonable in my opinion. It's true job is to stylishly protect the iPad and I don't see where it fails in that department.

Just cancelled my Feather since you mentioned the "accordion" way haha.
Incipio is now going to send the working Lexington in 1-2 weeks!

thanks for this pic MAP, the case does look nice and finally happy to hear it fits the ipad well. The magnet deal, I will happily wait for the new version once they offer it..

How do u guys hold the iPad with the Lexington case on? Do u strap it shut? It feels awkward to me.

Having the Smart Cover locked in was a huge deal to me and why I went with the Feather. It annoyed the crap out of me the way it always popped off my wife's iPad 2 whenever I used it. Now it's nice and secure.

I do the "accordion" grip when holding it vertically. The little strap is on the left side but it feels good and leaves the camera hole uncovered.

That's exactly the reason why I have chosen the Smart feather over the Belkin cover :)

how in the world did you figure that they will not want you to ship the old one back?

Im pretty sure they will want the non working case back.

I just called customer service and they said that they WILL want the defective case back because they have to put in the defect database of the company..
