see I have a problem with all these cases I want something that magnetically holds the covers on the back. Im so tired of dangling covers while I try to play a game or watch a tv holding it up.

Lexington and Feather look great but they dont have magnets on the back to hold the front cover open and secure. Does anyone know any cases that do this and look good..?

I'm very interested in this case but is anyone else cautious that the rear shell won't fit the new iPad? How is it that they know exactly the right shape and thickness of the new iPad before it was released? They didn't even make this model case for the iPad2 so it must be a new design.

That concerns me too. The other thing that bothers me is how bad the pictures are. You would think they could find some better images. I'm assuming they feel the extra depth won't affect the fit and I saw the case marketed on another site to fit the iPad 2 also. It would be nice to be able to see it a little more clearly. I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

I'm going to be adding VERY tiny rare earth magnets when I get my case so the lid stays closed, if you're interested I may make a mod thread.

I went ahead and bought this case (video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR3ZF-dCK-s

its a leatherette case with smart cover features and cost $30.00 shipped Im sure it will not last for more than a few months but by than we will have more cases to choice from and more reviews. I need something quickly and this looks great and good good reviews.

I assumed Apple sent 'preferred' suppliers dimensions for the new ipad, at least I hope they did, else they may be getting hundreds of return requests.

I would really like if you were able to do that. If not could you link me where to get some of these magnets?

Thanks

Scott

No one knows the dimensions before the announcement day. This is what I have heard from multiple people, including MediaDevil themselves who make screen protectors

Looks pretty good. Did they give you a shipping estimate?

This is the only thing I am worried about with the Lexington. I've also been searching for a case that: A. does everything the Lexington does and B. also holds the cover on the back. I have yet to find one so I caved and bought the Lexington.

That being said.. I am now also wondering if the thickness of the Lexington is going to be an issue while holding it (with the smart cover wrapped around the back).

This is my first iPad and I have always wondered if the folio style case with the wrapping smart cover on the back, interferes with the use of the iPad or is it not very noticeable?

I was under the impression from their pics that the Lexington cover stayed held against the back when open by sliding the strap through the loop just like it does when you close it.

The incase Mag Snap Case has two metal strips embedded on back to hold the SmartCover flat. I loved it on my iPad 2 but sadly no mention of a version 3 on their website yet.

I can't drop $35 for the feather case since it seems to ONLY be the back cover and I have to buy the smart cover separately. I'm awful but I can't agree to pay that price for a thin piece of plastic.

I'll sit back and see what rolls out after launch.

I hate the dangling back too. Customer service told me it won't dangle because you can strap the back in but I can't really picture that.
