I did not think about that, it does sound like it would be a little awkward, but hey, if it works it works! If it does keep the cover from dangling, I'll be a extremely happy customer!

Do you know if they were (or are going to be) able to test the cases with the actual iPad before they ship, or are they going off the measurements?

For some cases it won't really matter, but for ones with a snug fit.
 
the frost feather cover for the back looks good, very thin.

i am cancelling my marware ceo hybrid and will try this route with smart cover (ahhh so expensive for smart cover)

It should be spot on. they cant have the actual ipad 3 to test, apple hasn't sent them to anyone..

Yes, and? we know that, but they didnt send incipio an actual iPad 3 to make a case for the ipad 3.

but it should fit perfectly with the new ipad, incipio is no newbie company that makes cases, they know what they're doing.

im telling you, the lexington looks like one heck of a case. :cool:;) it has all u can ask for.


By the way , i called incipio and they told me that the front is made of vegan leather, and so is the BACK, u cant tell from the pictures, the outer shell of the back is Polycarbonate, and the inner part is leather.

with the proper engineering dimensions, you don't need a pad....dimensions are more than 8 x 11 x .4......with the right settings, a CNC machine can make a ipad plug down to a thousandth of an inch or more...

thats what im saying, Incipio is not some knockoff company making a case , they know what they are doing so im sure the new ipad case will fit the new ipad just fine.
 
Some of you may be familiar with gumdrop cases, but you may not know that you don't have to use the screen protector. This is about the only tough case of this style I am aware of that is confirmed to work without the screen protector. For those that want something heavy duty with a naked screen this is a good option. If any of you know of anything similar where you don't have to use the screen protector please post it. Thanks
