Maybe in a few days. Giving the G5 a rest as its been pegged at 100% cpu for 3 days straight with those last 3 builds. Otherwise if someone else builds it i'll happily link to it or upload it to the repo releases page.

Cheers

What, function- or feature-wise, would be meaningfully different with a 7450 build over a general G4 build? It’s kind of a question I’ve had about the TFF builds, but didn’t think of it as a legit reason to contact Cameron Kaiser.

Crusty old DLSD 15-inch PowerBook G4 running Build 10A96 of Snow Leopard running SPR 5 with much spirit and verve. 💪

In my findings... Not much if anything other than a compiler flag. The flag -mtune can create *slightly* more optimized code for a specific cpu. The difference between the 2 g4 cpus isn't enough to warrant a separate build IMO. The end user more than likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.

Cheers

Thanks. That makes sense and also works for me. :)

Thank you for your work, this is really great!
Many sites looks good in the InterWebPPC, but some sites have problems
ispmanager server panel for example, I just include screenshot, if you visit url, please do not be afraid with certificate, this is normal,
or https://www.nic.ru blank screen, I just get it in minute.
such sites not so few. This problem is in previous InterWebPPC, and TTF, and current version InterWebPPC also.
InterWebPPC is really best for now, so, is the any way to fix it, may be in settings, or is it impossible? Where does this problem lead from?
Of what interest is Russian websites to you ? I live in Ukraine so it’s useful for me, or is it because of video files to run on PowerPC ?

That's way out of my comfort zone and knowledge, so it'd have to be done by someone else.
I know what you mean - hacking into the mozilla code base is 100x more difficult than just building it!

A few years ago Riccardo and I did a month-long collaboration that resulted in TenFourFox Intel being born.

Perhaps we might team up to bring mozjs60 into TenFourFox ... it is a lot easier to work in a team for this, as the code base is so broad it's hard for one person to cover it all.

On the other hand, I am moving most of my older systems away from ancient darwin OS versions now and to linux instead, so it may never happen. We'll see!

This will be very useful work for ppc community! :)

I can help with testing on my Yikes! Power Mac G4 500 MHz. OS X 10.4.11, Radeon 7000 PCI, 544MB of RAM (for now), if you need it. TFF works alright on it, but it does max the CPU and stuff can be slow if you go for more graphically intense websites.

On the Windows side of pre SSE2 hardware we’re stuck with Firefox 48 or 45 ESR. On Linux we have Firefox 78.8 at the very least.

The only reason why modern Firefox is possible on PowerPC 64BE is because it’s easy to convert little endian to big endian.

Is there a way to fix Seamonkey for PPC ? Someone created a build of it back in 2017, sadly it doesn't work anymore such as wikipedia and other sites. I can still be used, but not every site works.

Speaking of interweb - I went back to Snow Leopard for a little and downloaded Interweb 64-bit and it seems not to work right. Is there an issue with the 64-bit version ? I can take pic and send it here to show you, 32-bit which I am using is running fine.

Rosetta emulates a G4 AFAIK, and as such isn’t compatible with G5 specific versions of applications.
