Can anyone tell me if iOS beta 10.1 has fewer bugs than iOS 10.0.2? I have 10.0.2 but am also on the public beta program and considering whether I should update.
It's pretty obvious that 10.0.2 is more stable. Almost by definition.

It better drop today.

This 1st beta is horrendous for my 6S Plus battery life. It 80% gone by evening. Usually it goes down only by 40% on iOS 10.0.1

If no update today, I will DFU install 10.0.2
You should go back to 10.0.2. Don't mess with betas. They are not for you. 10.1 is really only intended to add the camera feature for 7's.

Well, the OP (first wiki post) in this thread should give you an idea of what was fixed/changed in this release as well as potential issues that might be present.

I appreciate that, and I have seen those, but I'm curious about people's personal experiences with the two versions (if they've had them).

Thanks for the help but i have no profile section on my 7+. I know where it is supposed to be from my 6+ but after i did a restore feom icloud on my 7+ there is no profiles section but i got the ios 10.1 update. Any ideas? Thanks.
Did you delete the iOS update in the list? Or have you already installed 10.1? If you delete it then reboot a new check should download 10.0.2 if you do not have a profile installed. If you already installed 10.1 then you will have to choose another route to downgrade.

I already installed 10.1. I dont want to downgrade. I was just curious why on a device with no beta profile i was getting beta updates. Is there a way to get out of the beta once the official 10.1 launches? Thanks a lot.

I believe I would install the profile again, reboot as requested then remove it and reboot as requested again. It must be installed and just not visible or something or else you would not be offered beta software. However, I would maybe wait until 10.1 releases before removing it again as you most likely will want future betas of 10.1 release especially since this is a beta 1.

Is sound still really lower with the new update? I hope not the point is to have a louder phone with the two speakers.

Or is not noticeable.

i'm thinking of signing up to beta profile so i can update to 10.1 and get the portrait mode added on my iPhone 7+. My questions is... Will i be able to get out of the beta profile and update to the final release of 10.1 without losing any data? If so, how to? I'd appreciate the help.

Yes. The public update (whenever it comes out) will come through like normal.

Thank you for your response. You mean after deleting the beta profile then it will automatically come through?

You'll get updates even with the profile on. Any time there is a build number that's higher than what you're currently on, you'll get an update. But yes, you can remove the profile if you want.

How much lower is my other question. Sorry.

Can't be lower than it currently is, you can't even tell that you're not on mute at times when typing because the keyboard sound is so damn low.

That's my only issue right now, this beta has been rock solid for me otherwise.

Yea. So I'm wondering is it really that low? The list says significantly low. Someone report that as a bug so it's fixed before release.

I'm having network issues both cellular and wifi on Beta 1. (iPhone 7 Plus). Seems I have to reset network settings to cure it temporarily 1-2 times a day.

Also kicking the hoop out my battery. I've lost 30% already with only 43mins usage and 4hrs standby.

I have used betas for years and years but everyone downgrade to 10.0.2 if you have iPhone 7 or plus, its horrible and unusable, even the final 10.0.2 is horrible for iPhone 7 animation my 6s was faster, so lets see if beta 2 is better or 10.0.3 will come out, so far my new iPhone 7 plus is running so slow its horrible

Has anyone noticed that the background app refresh selection is reset to all every now and then ?
(Sorry if it was mentioned before- I didn't go through the 20 pages of the thread)

I noticed the background app refresh re-enabled itself and activated all apps, you might want to check it out.
