Agree, but does not compare to a DSLR. Not that I expected it to. Hard thing for them to replicate is the depth of the field, so that the blur transitions in gradually not all at once. Will likely also depend on the composition (where the foreground and background separate)
I think news widget is broken (at least for me) in this release. I have restarted the phone, delete and add the widget again and still displays "no stories".
Maybe this is on hold until the functionality is added to icloud.com photos. Whatever the reason it's incredibly frustrating since with a large library it takes a good deal of time to go through and update/merge/correct the tags.
It can do that pretty well in some scenarios at least. Compare the chair back to the laptop to outside the window in this shot I took:

Oh, I definitely agree. Perhaps the issue in the other photo was the sharp cutoff in the car to the background. EDIT: Now I see the issue in the car photo. The background is reflecting off the trunk of the cars. That apparently fooled the blur effect into thinking that the reflected area was also in the background since it was the same color and pattern. That seems like an unusual case rather than the rule. So I'd say its more likely that the portrait above more likely represents the software's normal functionality.
All of that is a long way of saying: Very impressive!

Still doesn't mean they'll fix it.
I was kinda hoping for a fix soon, but if it's not even in 10.1 beta 1, then it's definitely not going to be in 10.0.2 or 10.0.3 and such.
I don't think they're going to fork the code for this feature, so all the code is likely in there for all devices. Just won't work on non 7+s
iPhone 6 Plus here and having trouble downloading any updates for my apps all of a sudden. Just keep getting "Unable to Download app" pop ups. Anybody having this issue?

Lol. Some people just dont/wont get it. It's 10.1 there wont be a lower version number.
On a serious note, any major bugs? Haven't seen any reported
