Any reason for saying this other than that it did not appear on 10.0.1?
Agree, but does not compare to a DSLR. Not that I expected it to. Hard thing for them to replicate is the depth of the field, so that the blur transitions in gradually not all at once. Will likely also depend on the composition (where the foreground and background separate)Took a photo using the Portrait (bokeh) mode...not bad for a phone.
Ah, that's new (note the timestamp at the bottom). That stinks.Per the Apple website: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207181
Release notes still say People syncing not working

Oh, I definitely agree. Perhaps the issue in the other photo was the sharp cutoff in the car to the background. This picture, on the other hand, is very impressive in the transitioning.
Any word on this fixing the oft-discussed "No Service" issues reported recently?
What a bummer! That means there's absolutely no chance of getting a fix any time soon.

Samsung and Apple in one photo. But joke aside, it looks really good.Took a photo using the Portrait (bokeh) mode...not bad for a phone.

It's beta 1.

I don't think they're going to fork the code for this feature, so all the code is likely in there for all devices. Just won't work on non 7+siPhone 6 Plus here. Mine clocked in at 1.96
Still doesn't mean they'll fix it.
I was kinda hoping for a fix soon, but if it's not even in 10.1 beta 1, then it's definitely not going to be in 10.0.2 or 10.0.3 and such.
There won't be a 10.0.2 or 10.0.3, or is that what you've chosen to call the betas?
