Is anyone else seeing this bug: when there is a "suggested app" or Handoff app on the lock screen, touching or swiping up on the icon on the bottom left does nothing. The only way to get to that suggested app or Handoff is to unlock your phone and double click the home button to go into multitasking mode, and swipe the app up from there. I just started having this bug with 10.2.1 beta 1, and it persists through a restart. I find it odd that no one has brought it up, since it seems like a fairly obvious bug, so I thought I'd ask if it was just me. I'm currently installing beta 2 to see if that fixes it.

Edit: Updated to beta 2, the issue still persists.

Perhaps something from https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/how-do-you-launch-lockscreen-app-suggestion.2022545/ might be of some help.

PS. Can you use 10.2.1 beta backup, change the info.plist to 10.2 and restore this backup onto 10.2?

Guys after updating from iOS 10.2 to iOS 10.2.1 beta on my iPhone 6s , I am unable to receive no push notification at all from any third party apps like Whatsapp, facebook, messenger, reddit etc. I tried all the methods to resolve it like hard reset, restore to iOS 10.2 as a new iPhone. Please help

I'll answer my own question.
Yes, you can go back to 10.2 from 10.2.1. Just option+click "Update" (instead of Restore) and select your downloaded 10.2 ipsw. Your device gets "upgraded" to 10.2 from 10.2.1 without losing anything.

Anyone else with the videos app find it moving? It usually sits on the third row on my second home screen but it often gets booted to the very end of the page and I'm forced to move it again. Not sure exactly what's causing it, but it only happens with the videos app

Thats not the same thing as what you original asked tho. Downgrading and restoring a backup from a higher iOS version are completely different. From what I understand, the latter is not possible.

The end goal was the same: to get from 10.2.1 to 10.2. I just didn't have a clue that you could "update" to older version of iOS instead of restoring.

Yes but it may confuse others so I was clarifying it.

Anyone notice a bug when they are in the middle of text messaging and the phone rings? Half the screen shows the text message reply bubble and the keyboard while the top half of the screen shows the caller ID screen and there's no way for you to answer the phone or get rid of the messaging screen to answer.

Been there since 10 - hit the home button then the notification goes away - annoyed me until I discovered the home button action

It used to be. Not tried it with 10 but in the past editing the info.plist file and replacing a couple references to version and build # would work. I believe I would reset all settings afterwards especially if some settings options had been added, changed or removed from the newer version. Again not tried it in iOS 10 versions so they could have changed things.

Nothing is coming until at least the 3rd of Jan if we even get a beta 3.

Apple has never released a software update or beta between Xmas and New Years.

So that's why this one is causing me more problems than the first one. :/

What does that mean? It was released only for installation issues with the original one. There is nothing different otherwise. Thats why it was only available via iTunes and has the same version number.

Sounds like there's an issue of some sort with your setup more so than anything else.

They are the same. It literally was an installation issue that was fixed.
