Is the TV app working for anyone? I have a bunch of movies I've downloaded from DVD's and none of them will play anymore. The artwork has been replaced with an album cover as well

Hi guys! I have a question regarding restoring my iPhone 6S via a iCloud backup. I just made a clean install of the phone and entered my wifi and its password, signed in and then made the choice to restore from a previous iCloud-backup. When I had selected which backup to restore to, I then was asked to enter my Apple-ID and password again but the e-mail adress were already entered above. The thing is, the e-mail adress at the top was not mine?????? I had the option to skip the part about the password so I did. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Can someone please explain how this could be? Shouldn't it be my address thats connected to my Apple-ID? I took a screenshot of the whole thing but my phone is currently being restored.

None of the addresses below are mine...

Do you know or have connection to the person in the email? Friend? Family member?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have added some screenshots of the addresses that keeps popping up. No, I have no clue to who's they are. All apps and music that I have bought from the Apple Store was bought with my Apple ID. My current Apple ID is the only one that I have registered. My phone is still restoring from the backup and I keep getting popups to enter the password for those addresses??

Do any apps restoring not install if you push cancel? I'd probably restore and set up as new to be sure only my purchases are on the device. It's a hassle but more pierce of mind.
If someone ever signed into your phone or bought anything wth their Apple ID it might causes issues. The backup will see those apps as somebody else's purchases and ask for the password.
Other than that I have no idea what is causing it. I deleted my advice is just to set up as a new phone and start completely fresh. Contacts, mail, reminders, Calendar, notes etc will all will be present as your iCloud account syncs them regardless of backup or new setup.

Doubt we'll see a new beta this week. I imagine some people are off early for Thanksgiving. Probably next week.

Sounds like you might have some apps or media (music/videos/etc.) that might be from other people/accounts and that's basically why all of that is coming up.

Thanks for the input. I will wait until the phone has been restored so that I can export all texts and attachments. After that, I will do a clean install and set it up as new. Thanks again!

New or refurbished phone?

orietation doesnt always get recognized on my iPad Air 2. i have to lock and unlock the device for it to move orientation again.

on my iPhone 6 the send button isnt always there qhen i try to quickreply an iMessage

Yes, Apple replaced my precious phone with a new one...

I assume you meant "previous" (unless you have the One Ringtone [sorry, LOTR humor there!]).

If this was a refurb model, my guess is it was not completely wiped by Apple. If you're near an Apple Store, I'd take it in and have them do this so there's no trace of the previous owner on the phone.

I had the same issue and needed to contact apple support... they said that it was a known issue and it happened with free apps on their end. That the free apps downloaded during a certain time period weren’t/couldn't be linked to the proper apple ID when backed up via iCloud... so it asked for a random Apple ID from the pool of users who also downloaded the app. This was when I talked with apple support on last Tuesday, as I was restoring from iCloud backup to my replacement device when it happened.

Yes, sadly the rotation bug with iPad Air 2 is still there.

I've had the same kind of thing happen to me. I was setting up two factor authentication on my moms iphone. After the setup was complete I got an email from Apple stating that I've turned on 2fa on my mothers apple account. She didn't even get the mail. Our accounts have never been shared or anything. Even checked mine and her account if our email accounts where listen anywhere but they weren't. Complete mystery.

Yet another reason to use iTunes for backups. Seems Apple still isn't quite there for a PC-less device.

I hope for the final release of 10.2 this week. So that Apple can forget about stupid updates every week and focus on other more important issues....like developing their SW and new useful functions of IOS
