How does one access the "Preserve camera settings" option as the camera still defaults to stinkin "Live Photos". I couldn't seem to find the switch in settings and it appears not to be active by default.

Ya I haven't seen is as of installing the beta yesterday
Did you see it all that often? I've seen it maybe only a couple of times since installing iOS 10 originally when it came out. Based on how rare it would show up it's kind of hard to say if any particular build fixes it (given that it could still be there and just not showing up for a while).

"Show Contact Photos" setting for Messages now controls and applies to the photo at the top of conversations. (Option does not exist on iPhone 7 or 4-inch iPhones therefore it is impossible to show the contact photos at the top of conversations on these devices.)

4-inch iPhones lose out the contact photos within a conversation in the Messages.app on 10.2 after giving us a taste of this in 10-10.1?!?!

It wasn't rare. It would happen with quick reply or when you have a full list of notifications and you clear each manually etc.

I have this issue with my phone (10.2), my wife's 6s on 10.1.1 and an iPad mini on 9.3.3. Definitely not a firmware specific issue.

Biggest bug for me is Starbucks card no longer appears in Wallet quick launch. If I go to the app it will show though.

I did notify Starbucks of this and also since iOS 10 the card in Wallet has not been updating balances for me.

However the email I got back was a poor generic one about if I do not have the latest app or am not running iOS 8 or later it won't work.... thanks Starbucks.

Hello. Could somebody check if this weather bug is fixed in 10.2? Temperature values at widget are missing minus sign. Values at Weather app are correct. I'm on 10.1.1 now (6s).

The "Show Contact Photos" option used to only affect the photos on the main screen of messages. The option never existed on 4-inch devices because the screen can not fit both at once. Now that it affects the photo at the top of the conversation as well, you can't turn it on because the option doesn't exist. They'll probably re-enable it in later betas. Don't see why they wouldn't.

Settings-Photos & Camera-Preserve Settings, Then pick the one you want. Works fine for me on my iPhone 7

I know it's a bug. But they should group notifications by the same app like that. A tap would expand it.
Also some notifications get stuck, you can see them if you force scroll down. It happened to me when I was getting them all glued up like that.

Does anyone know if this audio bug is going to be fixed in 10.2?
Very irritating static on every song.

iPhone 7 Plus 256G - Onkyo HF Player
- Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor
- Parasound Zdac v.2 - Hifiman HE-400i

Like when you receive something? I could have sworn iOS 9/iPhone 6s had that.

No, I'm not talking about notifications but, if you initiate an Airdrop transaction you got subtle vibrations when the transmission starts, ends or canceled.

NOT FIXED

Interestingly I had a 2 hour online chat with Apple last week as I have been experiencing this with my iPhone 6s Plus, lightning to USB adapter, various DACs and every variant of iOS 10 to date. I also reported it using the Feedback app on several betas. It is obvious that Apple support can't trawl known error databases as after running some remote diagnostics they booked me in to my local Genius Bar in the UK.

I visited last Thursday by which time I was running 10.2 beta 1. They decided the problem must be hardware related and swapped out my 11 month old phone. Sadly the replacement exhibits the same fault.

Thanks for posting this as it does suggest a workaround of using the Onkyo app to upsample all 44.1k data to 48k. Doesn't help with Tidal streaming obviously. The fault report also suggests that my HD music is unaffected; I must check this out.

Thanks for the reply.

It seems to verify that it is a software problem, if you exchanged phones, and it is still there. I don't want the hassle of trading in a two week old phone (nearest apple store is 3 hours away).

The same setup with an iPhone 6 and iOS 10.1.1 works perfectly. I don't have the luxury of testing out different DAC's as the one I have is fairly expensive. All of my music collection is lossless FLAC with nothing below 44.1/16 ripped from CD's, and up to 192/24 downloaded HD. I'll probably just have to give up on listening to 44.1/16 songs until they decide to fix it. I do have the same problem with streaming music on Pandora and FLAC files on the jetAudio app.

Installed iOS 10.2 beta 1 and then restored from an iCloud backup and lost all of my Keyboard text replacements.

Also, seeing lots of little glitches that I did not see on 10.2 beta 1 before I completed this process.

Hopefully beta 2 will fix this.
