This guy, known to be well informed about Apple products, speak of a "Theatre Mode" in the future beta update of Apple in January.

What do you think this Theatre Mode means ?

10.2.1 isn't even out yet, and they jump to 10.3? That's something I've not seen before. Does anyone know if it happened before?

To bad they would waste their time with a theatre mode when they already have do not disturb and the mute switch for that matter. I would like to see them integrate Apple Pay into Trailers so we could have a fully functioning movie app.

They have had two betas out at the same time as I recall, but for different iOS versions, like iOS 8 and 9. In this case, if this was to hold up, it likely means that iOS 10.2.1 would be publicly released sometime before the 10.3 beta.

Apple is spying .....
What?

I hope they aren't adding yet another mute/silence toggle. There's already the ringer switch, then Do Not Disturb on top of that, which already seems redundant to me. If this is like a DnD+low brightness toggle... ugh, that'd be such cruft.

Well.. 10.2.1 is not even close to being ready for primetime..
Given that it's really mostly just 10.2 with a few bug/security fixes, is there something there that is that seriously broken for some weird reason?

The mute switch is technically a vibrate switch ;)
Dnd is actually silent.

Did they have two betas out at the same time? Or something else?
The former. Curiously the public beta of 9.3 was made available first if I recall correctly, while developers were offered the other(at least in OTA).
