Can you sort your music with new songs at the top instead of at the bottom?

Okay having installed all of the iOS 9 betas when they came out, I must say that this iOS 10 beta is off to a great start as others have mentioned. Not everything works completely smooth and I have already experienced photos crashing, especially when working in memories. Some apps stutter when they open and sometimes there are strange graphic behaviors like things being cut off at the bottom or sides of the screen. Something else I've noticed is a considerable amount of battery drain, but this is to be expected as this is the first beta. I remember that iOS 9 had battery issues too until somewhere around beta 5, I expect this beta will be similar. There are also a lot of features missing that I'm assuming are exclusive to iPhone 6s/6s+, I have the iPhone 6. Perhaps some of the features will be added later on.

Was this mentioned? "Define" has been replaced by Look Up, similar to OS X.

Is anyone using on the iPod touch 6? How's the performance and animations? Also, I came across a snapshot of the timer in Clock with a black theme, what's that all about? And finally what are the changes to the camera UI on iPad?

The Clock app now has a black theme by default, this is true. The UI makes it look more like the Activity app. I assume this is because of the bedtime alarm feature. It looks a lot like Sleep Cycle, which depending on how the "analysis" works (it's pretty unclear within the Clock app) could put them out of business if its a stock feature. I still like the really detailed analysis from SC, but plan on trying the stock app for a bit to see if it works as well for me.

Damn so a no go for the daily driver then? Hold off till beta 2?
This is absolutely a "your mileage may vary" type situation. For me, beta 1 is fantastic so far on my 6s Plus. Aside from a couple minor animation stutters with the multitasking interface and some things taking a bit longer than usual, iOS 10 is smoother than iOS 9. Plus, all my apps work. How nice, right?

You could have an entirely different experience depending on what device and apps you have, however. And even if things work well in beta 1, there is no guarantee that they will work at all in beta 2.

If you have another iOS device to test iOS 10 on, do that. If all you have is your daily driver, consider your options carefully and make a backup if you choose to take the plunge.

Generally liking iOS 10..Twitter, instagram, email seems ok so far. Facebook crashes frequently, and dropbox is a bit unstable too.. will see how the next day or two goes.. Obviously I have a full backup!

My alarm went of this morning as usual, and found a couple of bugs.

1. The screen stays off when the alarm is going off, you need to raise to wake or press a button.
2. You can't snooze from the lock screen, pressing the button doesn't do anything.
3. After failing to snooze from the lock screen I unlocked the phone and disabled my alarm.
4. Now the alarm timer is still showing on the lock screen with negative countdown and can't be cleared.

I took some screenshots (which after the reading the bug list thought wasn't possible?)

Lastly, the OP says you can register bugs without a Developer account. I get this message after signing in:

You must be a Registered Apple Developer to file bugs via Bug Reporter.
Register at https://developer.apple.com/programs/register/.

So if someone can reproduce this and log please.

Woot! Apple fixed my bug in iOS 10! Third-party photos were not being fitted to the iPhone 6S+ screen when rotated (to landscape mode) in iOS 9.x and now they've fixed it! Yay! Regardless of the picture size (or aspect ratio), the photo is now 100% every time! (Photos taken with the iPhone are just fine -- it was when saving pictures sent from say a friend's digital camera at a non-iPhone resolution.)

BTW, the issue didn't occur on iPads -- only iPhones.

Wow this is going to piss a lot of people off if Apple has changed this...

You just need to sign up for a free developer account. You don't need to have a paid account.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, or if it's even a bug, but if you slowly pull down the notification centre from within apps there's random haptic feedback as you do it.

Getting some mixed messages about Beta 1 performance on 6+.
Some say it's smooth - some say it's pretty slow and janky.

Gonna hold off until Beta 2/3 I think and then dive in. I've got itchy feet.

one feature i do like is the need to press the home button when unlocking the phone. it used to do my head in when i'd use Apple Pay and the phone would unlock instead

Ah. Yes. Good point. I thought it was because people complained that you couldn't read notifications as Touch ID unlocked your phone before you could read them (but that's was the raise to wake feature is for). I think they've done it because of the point you mentioned.

Cloud someone provide please pictures from the Music App with
* Apple Music disabled
* Connect disabled
I think there is no way to get Playlist back on the bottom navigations, for people who don't use Apple Music?
Disabling Apple Music does nothing. It's broken at the moment and can't be disabled.

Notification Center is working a bit weird in Beta 1. Home screen all the way left works ok. pull down from the top in the home screen only shows search/notifications.

In an app pulling down is light gray and can swipe over to the "widgets" which is missing from NC o the home screen.

Im sure it's just a beta 1 thing thatll be worked out.
You apparently don't get it. Home screen widgets now exist, in the old search in the left panel. Open NC and all you see is notifications that aren't on the home screen anywhere (uh that's why it's called "Notification Center" duh).

Go into an app, open NC you immediately see your notifications, slide left and it's the same panel that's on the home screen, with spotlight search now anywhere you are which is really nice.

Call me crazy, but this makes perfect sense.

Can you still pull down for spotlight on the home screen? It would seem kinda redundant if you could.
