Battery life apps no longer work
I sincerely hope that this gets fixed, either by later builds or the app gets an update. I use this to monitor charging and battery temperature. Not so much the battery capacity, but just the battery itself. If the stupid iOS percentage was more accurate, it wouldn't be a problem. But iOS says the phone is at 100% even though its truly only at 95%.

Seems relatively stable for a first beta. Overall I'm liking the majority of the changes. My one issue is the music app. Every aspect of the interface is just awful looking and poorly organized in my opinion. The huge bold text is not a good look and as someone without Apple Music, I have no use for 4 of the 5 tabs on bottom. Plus, it is still the only app on the 6 Plus/6s Plus that doesn't support landscape.

I have an couple issues with iMessage that I haven't seen posted here.

  • None of the new stylized iMessages or drawings work for me. Instead of sending it just instantly says "Not Delivered" and refuses to send.
  • iMessage Quick Reply on the lock screen seems broken:
    • When I hit "reply" on the lock screen, the phone buzzes like a new notification came in even though it is just activating quick reply
    • The screen will go dim as if a new notification came in rather than a quick reply, thus the screen will turn off in the middle of my typing
Has anyone else experienced this?

A restart fixed that first issue for me. I never had the second.

When toggling the mute switch, instead of the usual single short buzz, it is now 2 tiny buzzes

This is also the new default vibration pattern for text alerts.

Found in settings>sounds>Text tone>Vibration.

Very nice I must say, subtle

EDIT: The vibration pattern is the old 3D Touch feedback one would get when trying to 3D Touch an icon on springboard that had zero shortcuts. That has since been removed as all apps on springboard now give the option to "Share" the app

Subtle change:
When using a force touch shortcut on assistant touch, the phone now vibrates.

Bug:
When trying to change the force cut shortcut for assistant touch, the settings app crashes, lol

How is the performance on older hardware? For example, on an iPhone 5s.

On a 5s, is it faster/slower/same as the original iOS 9 beta?

Can someone please tell me if this is good to install on my daily driver iPhone 6?
Given your more unique experiences it's not likely that anyone would really be able to tell how it will be like on your device for you. But, again, given your more unique experiences, perhaps it's easier not to bother.

For the first issue, are you sending these messages to people who don't have iOS 10? I believe that those only work with people who also have iOS 10 installed.

Nope, happens to all of my iOS 10 iPhones. None of my iPads are affected.

Still showing on my phone? At least when I clicked on one of my playlist, it show Shuffle All option.

Shuffle All only appears once in an album or playlist. It is completely missing if say you go to an artist with multiple albums. You can't Shuffle All for that artist. Also you can't Shuffle All for your entire Library. Same thing happened in the 8.4 music app redesign. Shuffle seems to always get omitted in many areas in the early beta releases of Music app redesigns for some reason.

Is anyone using on the iPod touch 6? How's the performance and animations? Also, I came across a snapshot of the timer in Clock with a black theme, what's that all about? And finally what are the changes to the camera UI on iPad?

Would someone who did a clean install post what the default home screen app layouts for the first and second pages is?

my first experience is positive, love the new iMessage, animations are great. I'd say a good first dev release!

I don't like how they dim the screen when logged in. You'll notice it with a white background very easily. It's annoying!
Widgets will get some time to get used to and will create confusion, eg. 'up next' vs 'calendar'...

If you don't understand what a dev release is, stay away from it.
