Hey guys,

I installed the iOS 10 config profile and am downloading the beta 1 OTA however my UDID isn't registered for dev previews. My question is; will this update brick my phone even tho i have the beta profile installed?

Quite an important feature. The Reduce White Point is now a slider (and not simply a toggle) and this is why my screen was dimmer than normal.

If you enable it, and set it to the highest setting and then set the brightness to the lowest setting, the screen is much darker now.

EDIT: Maybe the screen isn't darker (you can be the judge of that).

Strange for all my TestFlight betas there are updates in the App Store. Some of them I never purchased. Is TestFlight now integrated in the App Store?

Edit: I can't update those apps and in TestFlight are no updates.

Edit 2: And those are older versions. No updates.
I have this bug as well. Also I can't update any apps.

Anyone else not able to update apps?

Yes, I have experienced the second one... when a notification from an app comes in on the lock screen, like from GroupMe, and I slide over and hit "reply", after a few seconds of typing a quick reply from the interactive notification the screen will go black. When you wake the device up again, you see the notification for a split second before it goes away and you have to manually open the app to reply.

You can hit the power button to get the screen on again and continue typing, until they fix the bug that is the only workaround.

Looks like the Delete App dialogue box is different. Delete is now red and on the right side.

Do that and then enable the Low Light Filter under Zoom.

I cannot get Messages to send any of the new style messages. They always say "Not Delivered". As others have said, I've restarted my phone about 10 times (both normal and hard resets) to no avail. Others have said that the recipient must also be running iOS 10 as well. That may be true. I currently have one colleague who I've been sending test messages to but I do not know if he has had a chance to install iOS 10 yet. Anyone know for sure one way or another?
[doublepost=1465923819][/doublepost]Can someone edit the bug list at the top to add that turning off keyboard clicks also turns off the lock sound and mute vibration. Thanks!
I believe they do have to have iOS 10. It always says not delivered for me when trying to send to someone with iOS 9.

This is absolutely a "your mileage may vary" type situation. For me, beta 1 is fantastic so far on my 6s Plus. Aside from a couple minor animation stutters with the multitasking interface and some things taking a bit longer than usual, iOS 10 is smoother than iOS 9. Plus, all my apps work. How nice, right?

You could have an entirely different experience depending on what device and apps you have, however. And even if things work well in beta 1, there is no guarantee that they will work at all in beta 2.

If you have another iOS device to test iOS 10 on, do that. If all you have is your daily driver, consider your options carefully and make a backup if you choose to take the plunge.

I agree completely with what you have said. I'm running iOS 10 on my iPhone 6 and for this being the first beta, it is actually a whole lot better than the first beta for iOS 9. I am currently running this on my daily driver and so far am going to keep it this way, I have not ran into any issues that would make me downgrade. I am impressed!!

Is anybody else having issues with safari syncing from iCloud? It simply didn't retrieve anything but it got my iCloud photos as well as my contacts, etc.

Also, apps refuse to "retrieve" contact info. In messages, I get phone numbers for everybody instead of names and pictures. Also, when I use Siri, it doesn't use my contact even though I've set a contact for myself under Siri settings. Also, Siri is also unable to locate me on my iPad when I say "How is the weather" for example.

No it will not! I am not a dev and I also have it installed on my iPhone 6. So no worries!

Yeah definitely many different situations here. iOS 10 is awful on my iPad mini 2. Not only because of performance (which will be resolved mostly) but just random little issues. My Reddit app won't work, so I want to use safari for that. Every time I type in a search field it shoots me to the bottom of the page. Does it on MacRumors too. Also it didn't sync all my iCloud stuff properly, and none of my apps will retrieve contact information, which is very frustrating.

I did a "clean" install. As clean as I could get. I updated to iOS 10 via the developer preview profile, then I did a "Reset all Content and Settings"

Honestly, it was running better before I did the reset.

I'm going to downgrade now and put my backup back on so my stuff is all as it was. Then once beta 3 (public beta) starts, I will hop back on the beta train for possibly my iPad and my iPhone.
