They weren't the same as iOS 6's shadows were. That screen-cap I showed was using a wallpaper I made with iOS 6's wallpaper shadows and dark tinted status bar.

iOS 7 didn't have wallpaper shadows for the icons. It had a small shadow on the labels, that they later reduced the opacity on later in development.

Well, it's this:

Your pick...

Can you share the wallpaper with the shadows? I think it looks great.

One last thing... I just noticed that iOS 10 for some reason darkens wallpapers.

Yeah I'll get it in a min.

Heres the link for the wallpaper I used and a quick preview:

The wallpaper is a water wallpaper from OS X with iOS 6's icon shadows and tinted status bar. When you apply it, make sure you make it a still and zoom all the way out and apply it to the home screen. Download the lock screen wallpaper and apply it by just disabling perspective view for the best look and experience. This wallpaper is for iPhone 6/6S only. (not for plus models)

-I've notice while listening to music from the lock screen and trying to change songs the screen times out after about 2 seconds
-The next/go back track buttons are unresponsive at times on lock screen music player
-Another bug i noticed when listening to music in my car the song volume will turn down for about 5 seconds then go back to normal...

Tried multiple reboots, most likely a bug..hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow

Side note: it'd be nice if Apple would have included a "Reopen closed tab" button in safari for iOS 10

This is the beginning of the end for iphone 6S users. I bet this will cripple the device like Ios 9 on the iphone 6.

Why do you say that? I love using all thee 3D Touch features on the iPhone 6S. It actually makes everything super fast in my opinion.

Hard to judge in this first beta. But I believe iOS 10 is far from "the beginning of the end" for iPhone 6s series. A9 2GB RAM brings huge difference on performance.

Apple has crippled all previous iphones and the iphone 6s will not be the exception. Quote me after Iphone 7 release you will see tons of people getting mad because their devices are having bad perfomance after ios 10.

They haven't crippled a damn thing. Typical over exaggeration much? Of course some people will "be mad", because some people seem to get tomato face angry over a few FPS here and there.

iOS 10 beta runs just as good on my 6 (which is almost a two year old model now) as iOS 8 that shipped on it when new.

iOS 10 has a huge advantage than no iOS has had since before iOS 8. And that is the kernel is no longer encrypted. Which translates to being able to optimize the OS better (a statement Apple even made)

A prettysignificant portion of this guy's post history follows this pattern. He even claimed to have his phone bend in his pocket on the first day of bendgate. He's one of money of Apple's abuse victims.

Anyway, this beta is by far the clunkiest first release since 7.0. Which is a great thing and it actually runs pretty well when you factor out some of the stuttering associated with development apps running the background. It means the devs have a lot on their plates. I do find it strange when some people complain about their phones getting slower as updates roll out, as if there's some sort of denial that every single product with a progressive operating system will face the same consequences.

Maybe as a compromise, we can let this guy keep his iPhone 3GS on iOS 5.3 and just disable the app store. And Messages. And Safari. And any other app that, if compromised, could then start sending out malicious code to more up to date devices it interacts with. They can call it...The pHone.

I really want to like iOS 10 but not being able to swipe to unlock is a deal breaker for me. I've become so accustomed to it over the years that it's ingrained. I don't use the fingerprint scanner or passcode btw.

Curiously enough, I re-installed beta 1 of iOS 10 and it's working perfectly including all of the apps that were buggy 2 weeks ago. Apps must've been updated. Only glitch is 3D touch messages replies sometimes don't show the text box when I'm typing, otherwise working perfectly. So pumped. I feel iOS 10 will be a really good polished release.

My fiancé downgraded his 6+ too because of that, along with the bugs.

Did you reinstall via IPSW or wiping all contents directly from the phone? Was thinking of doing the same.

Same here on iPad Pro. Sometimes gets stuck in landscape or portrait and does not respond to rotation.

Yes I keep having this issue. It locks into landscape and no matter what Indo doesn't change back to portrait unless I reboot
