iPhone 6S+ performance is now stupid fast. They remove the screen blur on app open (that doesn't show up for most other phones anyway). It's now smooth as a baby's bottom.

Can some other iPhone 6S Plus users confirm the speed increase in this beta? Beta 4 was way too slow in comparison to iOS 9.3.

In Music all downloaded music ONLY sorts by artist no matter which view you choose (Artists, Albums, Songs).

Not seeing Lyrics for downloaded music (I have a few "test" songs that I added lyrics to)
You need to change a setting in Settings --> Music to change sort types. Not easy to find but yeah.

Don't forget there will also be 10.0.1, 10.0.2, 10.0.3, 10.1, 10.1.2, 10.1.3, 10.2, 10.2.1, 10.3, 10.3.1, 10.3.2. 10.3.3, 10.3.4 and maybe 10.4 and 10.4.1. So there is plenty of time to kill all the bugs.
Apple has a very good track record of taking years to implement features, especially those which are frequently requested by user. Night Shift, Hide system apps, to name a few.
Or maybe the intention was to bring a WATER gun to the park and it got communicated incorrectly to the non-apple user (think you read this wrong)
Those guys just use "water gun" already. They do know each platform has their own choice to display emoji right?

When I press the home button, the screen lights up and even tho the phone passed the fingerprint security, I have to press the home button again. Basically, without "rest finger to unlocked" turned on, I have to press the home button twice to unlock the phone. I have a 6s and it s freshly restored as new.

Yes, this is correct. Turn on "rest finger" for only one press of home button. Or wake screen with lock button, or raise to wake to prevent that first home button press so you only need the second one for Touch ID/unlock.

But in beta 4, I had to press the home button only once, is this a bug or a feature?? Because sometimes I have to press only once.

They aren't going to. It's clearly Apple's version of censorship. Don't want to say anything to get this moved to PRSI, but there are some serious unintended consequences by Apple going rogue with emojis...

For example, the simple suggestion of a picnic in the park could say something like this on iOS:
View attachment 644194

would look significantly different on an Android or Windows device.
View attachment 644193

IMO, Apple should either remove the gun emoji completely or work within the consortium to address the issue. The "water pistol" is NOT a solution. At. All.

Who says it's a water pistol? You can argue why Apple chose this path, but clearly they've decided to follow Federal regulations regarding look alike firearms, specifically article

§272.3 Approved markings.

(b) A blaze orange (Fed-Std-595B 12199) or orange color brighter than that specified by the Federal Standard color number, marking permanently affixed to the exterior surface of the barrel, covering the circumference of the barrel from the muzzle end for a depth of at least 6 millimeters.

And

d) Coloration of the entire exterior surface of the device in white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue, bright pink, or bright purple, either singly or as the predominant color in combination with other colors in any pattern.

Emojis are just word substitutes after all and I think most reasonable people will still get the point. Apply the logic above to the dog emoji. Does it change the meaning substantially because the author has a Dalmatian and the icon looks like this .

If you only had to press it once, then 'rest finger' was either turned on or was automatically active, maybe due to a bug. But what you described originally is intended behavior with 'rest finger' off.

Nope, this is the first time happening to me, I really do believe this is a bug. If I turn off "rest finger", I have to press the home button once but if I leave the phone locked for a while, I have to press twice. Even on youtube in some reviews, I ve never heard of "pressing the home button twice". Maybe more users on this thread can help us see if it s a bug or not.

That's not entirely true. In every single beta I can press the home button just once to wake the screen and keep my finger on the Touch ID and go past the lock screen into the home screen. The entire time without the Rest to Unlock enabled.

The only time Rest to Unlock actually does anything is if you have Raise to Wake, screen wake via an incoming notification or if you use the power button to wake the screen. Waking the screen via home and keeping your finger on it has always took you to the home screen in every iOS 10 beta.

What you have described has not worked on my Air 2 at all. I have never been able to access home screen from an entirely off display and Touch ID locked with only one button home button press unless I use the lock button to wake screen. At least not until 'rest finger' became functional.

If I am wrong, I am sorry for spreading misinformation. This has how its been functional for me the entire time. I thought this was intended based on the previous long thread about having to click home button twice to access device and people were angry about 'premature wear' of the home button.

I don't think it's less secure as you could always use Touch ID when accessing other apps after a reboot (ie 1Password).
That's because they are not designed/not allowed to use Touch ID in a way which you need to enter passcode each time you use it. Or there may be other reasons. My pure guess.
Microsoft Outlook app is also allows user to enable Touch ID authentication each time opening app. This does not require restart to work.
Hmm, here is a guess. If apple allows sensitive information being stored in secure enclave even after restarting devices, then use passcode to unlock, that would be a bit convenient. However, Apps can load sensitive data to secure enclave and access it through touch ID or just use Touch ID as a key, similar to what Microsoft Outlook app does.

Can anyone tell me if they've added a way to rate songs from 0-5 stars back in? I'm starting to get worried...
Was that feature removed in the iOS 10 betas? Currently on iOS 9.3.4 you just have to tap on the album artwork and the rating options pop up. Sorry, I'm not downloading the betas this year.
