Is predictive emoji back? There was a time during the first few betas where if you typed something like "basketball", it would show a basketball where it normally predicts what you are typing. It has since disappeared but I thought it was a nice feature at the time.

Huge improvement in Messages when tapping on the camera button! It's almost instant now, and in beta 4 it used to take a few seconds for the library to load in that view.

anyone's proactive working? Like plugging in headphones should suggest music/pandora?

Don't know for DP5 but under PB3 it worked but the screen was not switched ON when plugging the headphones, while it was the case with iOS 9. However, when pushing a button music app is suggested in the bottom left corner of the screen. It seems that they have changed the behaviour of the thing in iOS 10, or maybe it's a bug.

It was there for some of us in beta 4 and still there in beta 5. Curious if those who had issues in beta 4 are seeing it now...

Works perfectly here when plugging in headphones, or bluetooth, or location based. The screen turns on and the Now Playing view comes up.

Something I just noticed: when opening the camera from the lock screen, it won't be in the app switcher. Previously it would appear in that list too, as of beta 5 not anymore. Not a huge thing, though. :p

iMessage read receipt bug is on. Send someone iMessage and when she or he reads it, it marked as read. Then kill imessage app sliding it up and open messages again and that read status is changed to delivered. Happens everytime.

I'm finally able to use Copy & Paste from my Mac to my iPhone without any issues! A great feature to be honest and I'm happy it's working smoothly in beta 5.
These are the features that people are going to look back on and say "How did I ever get work done without that?" Waaay more utility than Stickers of ancient computer equipment in Messages! ;)

No, I'm sorry this isn't anything like x.x.x development.

Traditionally there have been longer 3 week gaps around times of beta 5,6, and GM, for major iOS releases.

Again not entirely true. Go look at iOS 7. Beta 4, 5 and 6 all came roughly one week after the previous. iOS 8 and iOS 9 had two week gaps during the final betas. But they were 2 weeks for the first beta to the final beta. So iOS 7, 8 and 9 do not fit your 3 week gap between final betas. The ONLY time the gap has been over 2-3 weeks is the final beta to the GM for reasons that I already listed above with prepping the new iPhones for shipment.

Couldn't agree more. I've been using this quite a lot now, and it's such a seamless experience. Especially with latest betas. Works absolutely fantastic, and I'm so happy Apple implemented this. It's the kind of feature that makes iOS and macOS/OS X superior to other operating systems. Handoff is another example of that by the way. Apple does a great job at making their devices work together.

Anyway, I'm happy with copy/paste between my iPhone and Mac. It's a great addition. :)

Damn, this might be the secret killer feature of iOS 10. I download new apps so infrequently these days that I almost always end up doing a restart in between.
For me too. Actually, I found myself sometimes avoiding restarting or updating iOS because that would make me enter my password again when downloading an app.

Love this. Except there's a bug where it's showing my battery info and other icons.

Parked car not working full stop now. On beta 4 it was recording the location on the map and also telling me where it was on the widget.

Now there is nothing at and I've just been out for a drive to test. Anyone else having issues?

I've tried all sorts to get it to work again including deleting the pairing to the car Bluetooth and setting it all up again.

Checked the function is enabled in Maps settings. But still nothing works.

Anyone any idea how to get the parked car function to work?

From what I recall, it is automatic, and you need to have bluetooth on in your car and on your phone, and be paired? Someone may be able to comment better than I as my daily driver doesn't have bluetooth.

I got it to work by clicking forget this device and re-pairing it. Not sure if this would work for you, but I tested mine when it stopped in beta 4 and it made it work.

It also works if you engage Carplay (if you have it). Basically: phone needs to know its in a car somehow.
