Glad you're enjoying it, but most of what you cite has no interest to me.

It feels like rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. I want to see a complete overhaul of iOS. I want notifications to sync across all my devices. I'm so tired of constantly having to dismiss notifications on my iPhone, iPad and Mac. Why can't Apple get this sorted? And I wish we could have a proper file system on iOS like the Mac. And I wish we could have a default app for opening different kinds of files like on the Mac.

That made me laugh. I remember when handoff and continuity were launched, any time I got a text, email, phone call, etc. my Mac Pro, iPad, and iPhone would send alerts. I wasn't used to it so I constantly jumped, especially when receiving a call. Thankfully all that can be tweaked.

I do agree that notifications need to be synced between devices. I've become used to dismissing them individually that I hadn't noticed the time it took. With so much syncing already in place, notification syncing should be easy to implement. Good call. Definitely filing that with my developer account as a needed "feature".

I have 4 languages set as well as emoji keyboard. And iOS 10 beta 2 allows you to play with 2 languages at most, and this does not apply to Chinese and Japanese, as well as English and Greek.
So so far I can only say iOS 10 multi language support is still in preliminary phase. You don't need to hold your breath.

User Experience "Fast" isn't the same as data processing "fast.

The average consumer really only complains when then the user experience is slow regardless of what the specs look like on paper unless you're just looking for something to complain about.

Raise to wake is a mixed bag with me. Its nice in the car since it makes it easier to glance at things or get to music controls, but when I carry my phone in my hand it turns on all the time. I disabled a similar feature on android, and I may do the same with it. To each their own

When you remember the first beta of iOS 7 or 8 or 9, you will see that they were awful but this time the final version of 10.0 might be as good as x.2versions.

But the animations are still a bit annoying... hopefully they will allow input while animations.

Definitely a lot fewer bugs than I remember from iOS 8. It'd be really amazing if Apple could pull off a super stable x.0 release, and they're well on the way with 2 months left

Yes, agreed, but not sure why theres so much on youtube etc about lag... I've been quite lucky and not experiencing any!

Well, there are quite a few lags but it's not that bad like many describe... or we're just lucky ;-)
Don't you have the "problem" with animations? On my iPhone I still use iOS 9.3.1 because I can use the animation bug

I think all is okay on mine, minus the not liking the new unlock way or whatever it is everyone is talking about... much preferred the old way of touch ID and straight in and go

I think in beta 2 Apple added a "Rest to unlock" button so you can use it like in iOS 9 and previous versions

I just turned it on and restarted my phone but its still not like how it used to be unless I'm waking it via pressing the home button to begin with which defeats the whole raise to wake feature which I'm loving

If you raise to wake and then rest your finger on touchid how could the phone possibly know if you want to to the home screen or just authenticate so you can perform secure actions on the lock screen? It can't, hence the new workflow. Even with the newer, faster touch id pressing the home button doesn't take a significantly different amount of time than just resting you finger.

There are videos on YouTube because some people like to nitpick the tiniest of details under a microscope. iOS 9 it was the "cool thing" to complain about "micro stutters" this year it will be nano stutters I'm sure.

Alright that sound worse. How does it work when you have 4 languages set? Are some combined into one and some others separate? Also, does it maybe depend on whether the language has QuickType? In my case, German and English have QuickType while Dutch does not have it.

English has QuickType indeed, but Greek does not have. Chinese has a different version of QuickType as well as Japanese, and Chinese QuickType is not compatible with Japanese QuickType. Plus, I can only type Chinese and English without switching keyboard when choosing Chinese as input method, but not Japanese and English.

My suspect is such only applies to Latin based languages such as English, Spanish and French. Not those otherwise.

The new Music app is the final nail in the coffin for me with respect to Apple Music, I will not be using Apple Music again. Because I don't and maybe never use Apple Music, all of those Apple Music related crap is completely useless for me. Don't know why Apple forces all users to share the same experience while streaming and local music playback are two distinct things.
If they can divide them then I would be rather happy. They cannot coexist.

If Apple just gives us a toggle to speed up animations, that would be the ultimate.

OMG you are one of THOSE people. The "animations are too slow" people. FFS get off it. The animations are perfectly fine. I really think this is a personal problem of yours. The phone and OS are fine.

I have to say that ios 10 has greatly exceeded my expectations. Theres so much little stuff that makes the whole thing so much better. Heres a few standouts for me:

-responding to imessages from the lock screen is epic. No more jailbreaking to get bite sms
-finally i can cancel a navigation route without desperately tapping the screen until the dumbass end button shows up. Always available even from lock screen
-widget access from lock screen is super convienient and i can get news stocks and calendar without unlocking
-animations are finally tolerable and ive turned off reduce motion
-music app is actually useful for the love of god finally. So much better. Worth it alone.

And so much more. Ive had a few app crashes but honestly ios 9 wasnt any better for me. Battery life has been fine and im definitely using this as my daily driver from now on.

For those thinking about taking the plunge do it.

The changes to maps in iOS 10 is huge for me

- It no longer takes like 4 clicks to navigate to work/home.
- although iOS 9 provided proper ETA it's nice to see how long you will be stuck in a pocket of red traffic without seeing an ad from Carl's Jr. (Sorry Waze).
- total agree with you tapping the screen like 10 times to get the damn "end" button to show up.

I was hoping for a Springboard overhaul for iOS 10. It's definitely getting long in the tooth, it hasn't changed ever.

I think iOS 11 might be a candidate for something like that. At least the best shot for change if change is going to happen. Because the change over to OLED next year, it changes some of the UI "rules" so to speak, to better optimize for the screen technology.

The only thing I want from the Springboard is to be able to place an icon anywhere I want in the grid. The concept of filling up each row from the top one by one is super annoying. What if I just want icons in the row above my dock only?

IOS 10 Beta, I could not get my Apple Watch to connect to the phone. Had to go back to 9.3 to get it to work with the help of Apple.

I do find iOS 10 very nice, but it's not as useful as Android N is for my heavy daily usage. Running each side by side on the latest iPhone 6S Plus and Nexus 6P has provided an interesting comparison. An experience only available to those who own both, it's the comparison over time, that makes me appreciate the exceptional work of the Android engineers.
