General iOS 11.0 GM Bug Fixes And Changes

I can't get my iPad 10.5" to see the GM update (it's still on the most recent public beta). My iPhone 7+ sees it fine. Has anyone been able to get their 10.5" updated?

So, I don’t know if it’s intentional or not. When I am updating apps, in the middle of downloading process, earlier there used to be a round circle showing the progress. Now it just says open while the app is downloading the update in the background.

Anybody else notice this?

@Enjoylife1788 I think he means in the actual App Store when you click update on the the Updates tab.

I don't have any updates pending so I can't check, but I'm sure someone else can have a try.

The iPod touch control center flashlight gesture has 4 levels while the device only supports 3. Kind of surprising the final version has such an oversight.

The level at the bottom is "off". So you have OFF:LOW:MED:HIGH. 4 levels.

Yep.

This and the bug in contacts when swiping back from a contact to the list are two bugs that I myself have encountered so far. Minor "eyesores", so not much to complain about.

I might be completely missing the point of the Files app, but Dropbox was just updated with Files app integration and I see no difference in the way it works. Any suggestions?

You should be looking in Files > Browse > More Sources, or Edit.

I feel with every release they're making more of a mess of the original iOS 7 interface, especially when it comes down to text usage. Those fat letters in Mail, Calendar, Music, Files, etc. are just horrible and make the interface more busy than it needs to be. Whereas on macOS they're largely sticking to the original OS X Yosemite concept and refining it.

Opening Safari from the dock on the 12.9” 2017 iPad Pro still drops a lot of frames. It’s random, though, sometimes it’s really smooth; other times as choppy as hell. Weird thing is, it didn’t start doing this until around beta 5 or so.

Can't see it being asked anywhere else, but what about the stupid blue Personal Hotspot Bar that throws off the display of some of the apps I use? When will they change that for a simple hotspot icon along the top??

why in the GM master in the App Store apps update history says like 2min ago and 5min ago on past updates thought that would be fixed in the GM

Do you have an MDM profile loaded on your device? That typically seems to be the cause. I think the profiles need to be updated for iOS 11.

Ive noticed a decline in battery life. Ive been on the GM build since it leaked last week. It's not terrible but a bit less.
