Anyone else having issues with Touch ID? Was working fine before but I think it’s a bit buggy now

Also would be good if the notifications would work normally again sometime soon

Yes I am seeing some issues with Touch ID
Just thought my skin was too dry with the weather turning colder
But since you are I will start to think it is a bit buggy Touch ID

It was working very good before the update

Now sometimes I have to give up and punch it in manually

Yeah I thought it might be the weather first too. It’s not, it’s just a bit buggy. It happens now and again

question about restoring a phone, if I’m on iOS 11.2 beta and wanted to revert back to this version, will a backup of the beta work or will I need to set up as a new device from scratch?

Hey Siri has stopped working for me today, so the update didn’t fix the issue.
Same here on 11.1.2.
Not possible to send a message to a contact using Siri.
Update: was my fault. Contact had more than 1 telephone number. Usually Siri asks which number shall be used. Not happening in 11.1.2. when I say „hey Siri, send message to contact xxx mobile“ it works.

iPhone SE running 11.1.2

Experiencing constant springboard reboots since the update. Usually when opening an app from the homescreen. Happens at least once a day

Software in conjunction with 8+. Seems not an issue with any other phones.

Little weird that Apple has removed apps that do it from display models. For example, Monument Valley & Sky Guide. They know..

Oh, Apple is sneaky. I once brought in my 6S for shutting off at 80% battery. BEFORE the recall. She looked at me and her eyes almost popped out of her face, like she knew I had a lemon phone or something. In the end, she saw it kept shutting off but declared the battery “passing”

Months later (and my problem never going away) they announced the recall, and my serial # qualified.

Apple will bury something if it is an expensive hardware issue. Like the green line affecting the X’s, and this audio crackling, if not software-related. If it’s hardware good luck getting them to admit fault.

Seems like in the example you brought up they admitted fault in the form of a recall, it just didn't happen as early as you experienced the issue.

Yes but at the time I remember thinking how weird the Apple genius looked at me, it took her by surprise for a second when I literally quoted the phone rebooting at the %’s in the recall. She also took a long time in the back just to return and tell me the phone was fine. Then a month or so later had to bring it again for a swap. Just a bad experience I guess, she could have swapped it and not mentioned anything of a recall. Seemed shady she had to wait

Agreed. Unfortunately customer service experiences can and do vary, even when dealing with companies/entities that are more known for better rather than worse experiences.

The people in the store had no idea why my first gen watch had the battery expanding. They were wanting to charge me to fix it. Called Apple, I sent it in and got a replacement. No Applecare+, it was a year and a half old.

I think I've had bad luck in store. Decent luck with calling them.

I haven't used my AirPods in a while, so I am really late to the party. But did iOS 11.1.1 or 11.1.2 return the headphone icon for AirPods to the status bar? I don't remember it in 11.1.

I don't have Air Pods but when my Plantronics BT earpiece is connected, there IS a headphone icon on the status bar next to the BT icon. If that helps.
