Looks like they added the ability to hide the iMessage app ribbon, by tapping on the AppStore icon.

I agree. Both my devices are running great thus far. Much more polished. Still have to work some things out, but a couple more betas on 11.1 and it should be much improved. This beta is def better than any other version of iOS 11. Way smoother and more polished overall. Simply updated to new beta from beta 1. Didn’t restore or anything. By 11.3 this thing should be great
Glad to hear that.I agree. Both my devices are running great thus far. Much more polished. Still have to work some things out, but a couple more betas on 11.1 and it should be much improved.
I updated my phone at 12:45 today and am running beta 2No, it isn’t
More people saying the same thing..seems to be the general consensusJust updated to beta 2. Holy crap!!! Animations and scrolling looks butter smooth and I'm loving how it looks. Hoping for better battery life!!! Down the road.... Home button lag to be fixed.... Or now, that would be better. Lol.
Buttery smoothYes 3D Touch multitask is back! And like already mentioned, feels much better than before, very polished

PB is out alreadyEveryone says this how buttery smooth things are each beta and every time I try it myself I still see lags in the same places. I’ll hold you to this though when public beta is released tomorrow when I can try it myself. Personally I think iOS needs a complete overhaul, it needs to be knocked down and rebuilt if we’re ever going to see true smoothness like we last had with iOS 6.

Every time I open the mail app, it closes on its own after about 2 seconds. I’ve rebooted and hard reset (iPhone 7) with no luck.
The home button delay is not going to be fixed, and the delay is really small and something I can't even notice.
How many times should it be said iOS 10 does not have this delay and app switcher works just fine there? The delay is intentional to apparently allow for multiple home button taps, according to what a user earlier in this thread is saying.
I don't care what anyone says about the home button delay, it's a step backwards from 10.3.3. It feels sluggish and adds unnecessary time to the multiple interactions throughout the day with my iPhone. The delay was there in earlier versions of iOS 10 and then got fixed even on the buttonless 7. Ultimately it won't make a difference on the X, but the 7/8 are pitiful. Just look at this year's speed comparison videos with Galaxy, etc. It's embarrassing how poor the 8 is doing.
Second...?Hm. Even with the iPhone 7, I personally find it annoying to reach over to the left side of the screen and I feel like the second 3D Touch to access the app switcher takes a lot more pressure. Way more than a normal 3D Touch.
The whole process feels extremely cumbersome and awkward to me, but I’m glad people are happy with it.
Yup. I’ll be glad to get it back when I can get beta 2![]()
It’s not so much lag, more like frames drops.I hate to ask, but what lag? I've never experienced anything but good except battery drain just on one beta
Control Center still isnt very smooth when brought up at various places other than the homescreen on my 7+.The home button delay is not going to be fixed, and the delay is really small and something I can't even notice.
I've also been having this problem for the past 2 days. I was really hoping that the next beta would solve this, but no, Mail continues to crash. Really frustrating.
Will try deleting and adding accounts.
Same here. By the time I've found the exact part of the screen edge to press without actually changing screens, I could have double-pressed the home button many timesHm.
