This beta is def better than any other version of iOS 11. Way smoother and more polished overall. Simply updated to new beta from beta 1. Didn’t restore or anything. By 11.3 this thing should be great
I agree. Both my devices are running great thus far. Much more polished. Still have to work some things out, but a couple more betas on 11.1 and it should be much improved.

Glad to hear that.
[doublepost=1507599811][/doublepost]It’s running fine on my iPad Air 2 and my 8 plus has really smooth animations. How is it on the 7?

Do folks think in-app speaker clipping/crackle is software or hardware. Exchanged and same issue so I lean software. It’s really cheap sounding and annoying.

Other than that PB 11.1 is pretty nice.

CarPlay bugs fixed? You can play a song in both Apple Music and Spotify at the same time, and you have no idea what's playing in Apple Music. Tried it on two different iPhones >_>

Just updated to beta 2. Holy crap!!! Animations and scrolling looks butter smooth and I'm loving how it looks. Hoping for better battery life!!! Down the road.... Home button lag to be fixed.... Or now, that would be better. Lol.

More people saying the same thing..seems to be the general consensus

Everyone says this how buttery smooth things are each beta and every time I try it myself I still see lags in the same places. I’ll hold you to this though when I try it out myself. Personally, I think iOS needs a complete overhaul, it needs to be knocked down and rebuilt if we’re ever going to see true smoothness like we last had with iOS 6.

PB is out already

Every time I open the mail app, it closes on its own after about 2 seconds. I’ve rebooted and hard reset (iPhone 7) with no luck.

Not just for you - on my wife’s iPhone, too (still on 11.1 beta 1). She has thousands of email and I had thought that had something to do with it, but your message makes me wonder about that explanation.

The home button delay is not going to be fixed, and the delay is really small and something I can't even notice.

The delay is intentional to apparently allow for multiple home button taps, according to what a user earlier in this thread is saying.
How many times should it be said iOS 10 does not have this delay and app switcher works just fine there?
I don't care what anyone says about the home button delay, it's a step backwards from 10.3.3. It feels sluggish and adds unnecessary time to the multiple interactions throughout the day with my iPhone. The delay was there in earlier versions of iOS 10 and then got fixed even on the buttonless 7. Ultimately it won't make a difference on the X, but the 7/8 are pitiful. Just look at this year's speed comparison videos with Galaxy, etc. It's embarrassing how poor the 8 is doing.

The One Plus 6 with it’s snappy animations and instant response time will destroy the iPhone 8 with its input lag and sluggish animations because Samsung phones usually performed like a tank in the Android world and One Plus should be even faster. Apple seems to be prioritising emojis over critical issues.

Hm. Even with the iPhone 7, I personally find it annoying to reach over to the left side of the screen and I feel like the second 3D Touch to access the app switcher takes a lot more pressure. Way more than a normal 3D Touch.

The whole process feels extremely cumbersome and awkward to me, but I’m glad people are happy with it.
Second...?

You just press hard at the edge of the screen and quickly swipe all the way across to move to the last app. It's so fast.

I've also been having this problem for the past 2 days. I was really hoping that the next beta would solve this, but no, Mail continues to crash. Really frustrating.

Will try deleting and adding accounts.

Had the same problem with 11.1beta
Turned off each email account in settings until I found the offending one
It was one of two yahoo accounts, mail only no contact notes etc
I re-enabled the other accounts and made sure there were no more crashes
I deleted the offending account
Powered off the iPhone
After a minute rebooted WITHOut Starting The Mail app
Readded the offending account in settings
Waited about five minutes for mail sync and opened app with no further problems

Same here. By the time I've found the exact part of the screen edge to press without actually changing screens, I could have double-pressed the home button many times :)

Three UK ver 29.5 not 29 and also noted i no longer have airpod entry when linked under general>info and acees to firmware version.

Hi everyone,
I have iphone se as my primary and own phone. The second phone is iphone 6 as my company gives me.
I always use beta with se and after yesterday's release beta 2, i am quite happy with that.

Also, i installed beta2 to iphone 6. It's ok but when compare two phones when opening facebook, instagram, or other programmes, iphone 6 opens 4-5 second afterwards than iphone se.

Is this normal because se has faster chip inside?

Thank you for your comments
