Happy that the 3D Touch stutter is gone! Although the sometimes laggy keyboard seems to still be there. Maybe because it’s still indexing. We’ll see.

Is this indexing thing something real? I'm starting to think is a fairy tale. When you repeat a lie too much times...

3) Again wrong, read the other thread. This has been known for years that Apple is internally 2-3 betas ahead. Check the kernel date this build is 16 days old. 2-3 weeks.
1) 2-3 Betas ahead != 2-3 weeks ahead.
2) The kernel is the same build as the one in Beta 2. It's actually very common for kernels to remain the same across multiple released builds of a new iOS version, and becomes more common as the builds mature. It being 2-3 weeks old doesn't mean anything. It was 9 days old when Beta 2 was released.

I can definitely state that the update "fixes" the 3D Touch lag on apps for me. The minor stutter is gone. Animations are fluid, but somehow feel like "slightly slowed down" versus 10.3.3. But, a very good third beta so far in terms of interface fluidity and overall stability for some of the apps that I open and check after each beta update.

Very happy so far. :)

On iPhone 7 during the beta up to gm I often noticed frame drops when swiping to another home screen immediately after pressing the home button to leave an app. Has this been fixed?

I went back to ios 10.3.3 awhile ago so I don't know.

Odd thing about iOS 11 so far. It runs well for a couple of days then the lag and freezes starts back. Let's hope beta 3 is better in a couple of days

Never experienced this with beta 2 on my 6S+, ran beta 2 since last monday without a restart.

Can someone check to see if stock weather app and widget have been fixed with respect to the widget not updating correctly and showing outdated temperature? I know not a huge bug but definitely needs to be fixed. Thanks!

+ 1 to this

Although it did seem to update more frequently on b2 than b1.

is home button delay better i hear 3d touch is fixed
Home button is not exactly like it was on 10.3.3, but faster than any 11 release thus far imo

Edit: After using for a few hours, it seems the behavior is the same as beta 2. I swear it was after for a bit when first installed, though could have been a placebo. Sorry to get everyone’s hopes up. If I remember correctly though, the home button delay wasn’t fixed until iOS 10.2, maybe even 10.3. I’m not worried about it either way.

Wondering if every time a beta is pushed, someone is going to ask about a problem that only one person seems to have. LOL.

Does this release fix my night stand not being big enough for my iPhone to lay next to my iPad at night without sticking over the edge?
The problem is there for everyone. The same way. Now whether or not people are bothered by it is a completely different matter.

Audio still completely drops out from playing in my AirPods, although the track counter keeps progressing. This was also an issue in beta 2 for me. I have to pause long enough for the AirPods to sleep and then press play again and the connection resets. Another bug filed on this.

iPhone 7+

Yes, different beta number but same build number.

So for an example to illustrate my point.
Internal Beta 3
Developer Beta 2
Public Beta 1

Apple can issue internal betas at a faster rate than developer and public betas. Doing this increments their internal Beta # but it doesn't mean that a beta is x weeks newer or older.
Correct. Apple, as noted by Apple VPs, released internal betas on almost a daily basis (pretty sure Craig and Phil talked about on a Daring Fierball show).
