3D Touch is so much better wow see all this moaning and people think its over the top really is noticeable, now why couldnt apple fix this before or for the public in 11.0.3 couldnt be that hard, but still the home delay is slightly there not as instant than ios 10 we are so close to near perfect ios 10 speed now come on apple hope final 11.1 is polished seems to be like its going in the right way :)

I think this is a touch unfair to say so.

The regarded/ hailed hallmark of interface snappiness on Mac OS X - Snow Leopard - was 10.6. Would it be fair to ask why did it take 6 iterations for 10.0 to become so fast, or 10 iterations, depending on how you want to count, for interface snappiness to reach that level? It is called development - it is a continually improving process.

Features are what teams are focusing on at any point when a new version number is out. Optimisations are what they focus on afterwards, till they reach a new number, when the cycle resets and begins again.

This is like Intel's tick tock. Just be happy that what you have been constantly complaining about, is finally fixed enough for you to say "so much better".

Pinch to close app now ultra smooth but control center is not smooth.
One new bug on this and beta 2 music widget album art is very bad quality

Exactly this. Control Center still feels really unpolished (iPad 10.5). If you open apps from it, it also has slower and jankier animation than any other way to open an app (home screen, or first step when swiping up to only show the dock). I hope they fix it soon, this really shouldn’t be the case on their topmost he line gpu.

Thanks for the info! Is multitasking when dragging your finger up from an app and going into another still laggy? Also pulling down the notification panel? Those are just awful on beta 2.
Yes horrible lag still in multitasking when swiping up finger and going to another app.
One other bug in this and beta 2 is boot logo appear two time !

Has anyone gotten Handoff to work correctly?

I get the icons showing up on the ipad dock and iphone app switcher but when opening them, they are not in sync.

I don't think it's worked correctly since the first ios 11 beta and here it is 11.1 beta 3 and it still isn't working.

I have never had Handoff experience on my iPhone 7 on iOS 10 and my MBP 2016. The day I got my iPhone 7 I just flashed iOS 11 beta 1 on it, so don't have any idea, but I think you might be talking about a bug that I think is a bug. Do correct me if I am wrong.

Let's say we are in Messages on MBP, and I am typing "Hello" to a contact. Now, for me, the expected behavior would be that if I use Handoff and open Messages on my iPhone, it should have the new message screen, that contact, and the text "Hello" typed already.

This behaviour is not replicated vice versa as well. If I am on iPhone and I type something, I expect that I can open the handoff messages icon and it will have the text pre-filled.

Again, is this not how Handoff and Continuity work? Is this a bug or am I understanding it wrong?

Great, that’s made me not look forward to this update at all now. Absolutely terrible from Apple. Are the dozens working there not seeing this sh*t? If it’s still like this in final release then I think I’ll be returning mine.

I have app called MyJio and once in it, try to swipe up control centre. Enjoy 5 fps stutter show.

This is laughable. Apple smooths out one animation like 3D touch and breaks another. It clearly means that iOS is becoming a frankenstein monster with hodge-podge patches.

The home button delay/lag hasn’t been fixed. It is EXACTLY the same it was since iOS 11 B1

I respectfully disagree on all counts.

First - which device are you on?

I am on an iPhone 7, and there is no delay/ stutter for CC to pop up in MyJio. Or in some other apps that I have tried it in, after reading your comment and before posting this reply. Frankenstein monster with hodge-podge patches? That's a ludicrous statement for iOS in general.

Second - have you tried restarting and then checking CC in MyJio again?

Third - is this occurring only in MyJio or all the apps you have installed? If the answer is in all, then there might be some corruption somewhere, and if the answer is only in MyJio, I think you need to shift the blame game from Apple to Reliance developers. That app is what is called a "Frankenstein monster with hodge-podge patches" - I'd call that app a web wrapper at best.

About the home button delay, I think it has been beaten ad nauseam, ad infinitum. We all know it will be fixed if Apple wants to fix it, and not if it does not want to, and then there is the question of whether it is even a delay in the first place.

iPhone 7 Plus and only in MyJio. There might be more but not checked.
Try it 2 or 3 times. It will stutter and randomly it will be smooth also.

LMAO you are confusing between delay and stutter. Even I can confirm that there is no delay in bringing up Control Center lol.

Good catch with my typing error. I do indeed mean "stutter". :D I tried thrice, neither a delay nor any stutter. Report a bug with Reliance as well, I will do the same at my end.

Thats definitely how it should work, but it never has since these features were introduced way back in iOS 8. For this reason, I find Handoff and Continuity to be basically useless features aside from quickly opening a webpage from one device on another. It’s amazing Apple has never thought to have the text you were typing transfer over. What’s the point of opening the app on another device and making you start over what you were doing?

Oh! So the bug that I thought was a bug, is a bug! :p

Of course, having the text transfer over needs to be a feature of handoff and continuity. if not, then this only exists for, like you said, opening webpages quickly from one device to another. I sparingly use that feature as well, for web pages, because for everything that I would have liked and loved and needed it to work for, it does not!

I pretty much only use it open webpages and forms for that reason. It works ok for apps that continually save their documents to the cloud too, like Pages. Now if only Pages was actually any use to me whatsoever in the real world...

guys what about iPhone 8's exclusives wallpapers? are they include the beta?

iPhone 8's exclusive wallpapers are not there on my iPhone 7.

While Apple might bring more wallpapers to other devices as and when they decide to, like you said, exclusive wallpapers.. they would be exclusive to the new device then, wouldn't they?

Maybe they are time exclusive or something else.

Audio still completely drops out from playing in my AirPods, although the track counter keeps progressing. This was also an issue in beta 2 for me. I have to pause long enough for the AirPods to sleep and then press play again and the connection resets. Another bug filed on this.

iPhone 7+

My feedback report on this has been updated daily suggesting this is still under work.

Where is the public beta?! It’s been released at 1pm on the same day as the developer beta for all the previous 11.1 releases :(
