I understand totally and think it’s imporant that what’s important to you is addressed. I do report the animation bugs I come across in every beta. I want it to be smoother, just like you. Just keep reporting the bugs and hang in there. :)

Thank you for doing so! I’ve reported the animation bugs and frame rate issues myself, they address some of them but unfortunately for the most part they are very much still present. I feel like a broken record and feel as though I’m annoying people in here when I complain about performance issues all the time, but it really does bug me (no pun intended). I’ve come to accept the overall look of it but I just want iOS to be smooth from top to bottom again, that’s all I want from them. Anything else is a bonus to me.

Yep, got it installed. Thanks
[doublepost=1508191196][/doublepost]Seems like Messages keyboard lag is gone? 6S here..
[doublepost=1508191428][/doublepost]Question... I noticed the "Phone" icon stays "pressed"/grayed out after you return to the home screen.
Is this an iOS 11 thing or a bug?
[doublepost=1508206967][/doublepost]The messages keyboard lag still exists for me although it is less frequent. 6s+

Is anyone experiencing apps freezing when updating. Only way to get it moving again is to reboot? Basically my springboard is crashing while apps update.

Me since 11.0.2, .03, and 11.1 betas 2-3. I have to reboot my phone every day so I’ve turned off automatic updates for now. R I d I c u o luss

It’s all good. Report whatever you see here and via the app, whether performance related or not. All bugs need addressed.

Smoother? So no stuttering for either of you when pulling down the notification panel when it reaches the bottom? No multitask stuttering when scrolling through your open app windows in the app switcher view? No frame drops or general slowness when swiping up from the dock and going into different apps from the app switcher view? No control centre stutter at all? Because that’s what I’m seeing on my iPad Pro 12.9 gen 2. It is god awful for me on here and hasn’t improved at all. Had none of this on 10.3.3. That felt like iOS 6 in comparison to all iOS 11 versions thus far.

No, I am not seeing that and I consider myself sensitive to it. It drove me nuts on earlier Beta's.

I guess I’m more on the sensitive side then because I can’t help but notice it, it’s so bad to me that I’m thinking of returning my iPad Pro. If it’s not as noticeable to some but is more noticeable to people like me then it’s still a big problem because if I’m seeing it then it still exists and is really as bad as I’m seeing it. And buttery smoothness is a big priority for me hence my frustrations with iOS lately. Mainly because I remember how buttery smooth it really was, especially on an iPad 4 running iOS 6 and an iPad 2 on iOS 4.2 and 5. We have ProMotion and all these faster processors but we’re still seeing these frame drops, that to me tells me how unoptomised iOS 11 is because it just highlights how bad it is even more. I just find it unacceptable because this never used to be the case with iOS. I wish I was like you guys and not see it though, but I always do. Maybe it will smoothen out in more point updates, it’s just frustrating to have to wait for a smooth experience when it should be smooth already is all.

You shouldn’t have left iOS 10. I also upgraded to iOS 11 on my 2nd gen iPad Pro 12.9 and the stuttering and lag was really bad. It was due to the ProMotion display. When high refresh rate screens are used, if the high frame rate is not maintained, the dips will seem worse than what we would see on a 60hz screen. So you will definitely notice more stuttering than those who don’t use a ProMotion display. I would have returned the tablet without question if I was in the return period and I got trapped on iOS 11. Fortunately I downgraded back to iOS 10 on my iPad on time and it’s 100% smooth with no stutter anywhere.

Also battery life on my iPad is pure BLISS on iOS 10(lasts 2 days with moderate use) while it’s horrendous on my iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 11 (7 hours of battery) so that’s another compromise for getting iOS 11 on iPad as well.

Hope this isn’t a bug, looks a lot nicer than a black screen.

6s has been running smoother and I’ve noticed 3D Touch works a lot better for me (I have a non genuine screen)

Has anyone noticed app updates not working automatically anymore? They stopped in iOS 10, started working in iOS 11, and I don’t think they’ve worked for me since 11.1 beta 1.

New layout for Wallet, tickets are shown in an horizontal way, instead of vertical

Not for me. On iPhone 7.

That’s been like that when you have more than one ticket/pass as in your case you have 2 tickets for booking.com so that’s why it’s like that.

It’s like this when I add concert/game tickets to my wallet (for my wife and I).

Not for me. Two tickets via one app, two via another. Still vertical.

Also in all the 11.1 betas pulling down the notification shade for me animates a full second or more after the swipe. A reboot willl fix it for a few minutes. Then it starts again.

Also made worse by the fact that touch inputs are occasionally getting ignored altogether (systemwide I think) so I’m now swiping down. Waiting. Nothing. Trying again. Waiting. Waiting. Shade choppily animates down.

Ios 11.1 beta 3 so far so good its looking like 11.1 is what ios 11 should have been but glad its getting polished and quickly :)

Got to say this beta 3 is performing beautifully on my 8 Plus.

Smooth , quick , no lag & what I remember iOS always was/used to be.

Long may it continue.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the shortcut then as it adds twice as many steps.
I know right. Kinda like the weather widget and having to actually tap it to open weather because its wrong 98% of the time. Maybe beta 4 :)

Not sure why its never on the list of bugs, but using notifications to send Office 365 emails to the trash on the stock app still doesn't work at all.
