Odd thing about iOS 11 so far. It runs well for a couple of days then the lag and freezes starts back. Let's hope beta 3 is better in a couple of days

I found it happened whenever it tried to do updates from the appstore, it would freeze a lot when installing the app updates. I haven't had a chance to test it yet since there's no app updates to do for me.

Is anyone experiencing apps freezing when updating. Only way to get it moving again is to reboot? Basically my springboard is crashing while apps update.

Ah I was hoping this was fixed! It happened to me all the time on beta 2 and I guess it's still happening on beta 3. Time to file another bug report.

Music playback via Bluetooth is cutting out more than beta 2.
Having this issue as well. Complete cutout for about a second every few minutes or so. Someone posted in a thread that they were having the same issue with wired headphones and even just playing music with the speaker on the device. Haven’t tested this, but will today to try and isolate it.

Battery life is back to how it was on iOS 10.3. So glad. I had accepted that battery life would never be good again on iOS11. Touchwood.

Can confirm this happening to me using wired headphones on an iPad so it’s definitely not a Bluetooth issue.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Have you narrowed it to the default Music app, or are third party streaming apps doing the same?

I have that issue with regular wired EarPods on my 7 plus. At the time it happens, cpu is getting pegged at 100%. It doesn’t seem to happen when using Radsone music player, only Apple Music.

Remember the Live Photo bug from iOS 7. People say it’s not a bug when you listen to music, open the cam and the playback stops even if Live Photo was disabled. It takes 2 years until apple fix this with iOS 9.
It is a bug. Again, you can find apps with spotlight and disabled Siri, but only if you type the whole name.
The result for me is, i lazy and don’t use some apps which are behind the third site of my only folder. Apple Apple Apple

I don’t dismiss it as being annoying. But a bug I an error that doesn’t work right. A feature is something purpose built. There’s only one toggle that includes spotlight to search for and within the app. They clearly realize this. You’re confusing bug and feature. If it’s something that doesn’t work the way you like or want it to work that just means they need to have feedback to change it to give you two toggles: one for in app search and one for the app itself.

I agree tho. Ever since the early iOS betas this has driven me batty!!

I’ve only tested it on the stock music app. Interestingly, the music I was listening too is downloaded locally on my iPad. This may mean it’s a bug with the app itself rather than an issue with Apple Music streaming. Guess it’s time to submit a bug report!

Not sure why its never on the list of bugs, but using notifications to send Office 365 emails to the trash on the stock app still doesn't work at all.

Since iOS 11, Apple has removed feature of notifications for any sub folder or favorited folder- except the main Inbox, in the stock mail app.
Apple has also removed the scheduled fetch for these type of folders.
As a result of which you will not get any notification for any mail moved or received in any folder other than the Inbox.
I have reported it.

Yes, this has only happened to me with the Music app and music that I own and have dowloaded to it. I don't use iCloud Music Library either.

Since ios 11 i have issue with music accessory or car stereo only with Apple Music; No problem with Spoty or other media player

I definitely see the keyboard delay, but not frequently.

As far as the music cutout, I haven’t experienced that yet (Bluetooth headphones on SiriusXM and Music app with iCloud Music Library). I’ll switch over to wired headphones for the day just for kicks.

Now that Reachability is back/fixed I wonder if/how they’ll implement it on the X. Thought I read on other MR post that Apple is working on it but I don’t see why double tapping the “home bar” on the X wouldn’t work the same as double tapping home button/TouchID.

With 3D Touch stutter fixed, the only thing remaining to make iOS 11 seem good is better battery life. Hope this happens till the final release of 11.1.

It's precisely the same as it was in the last beta and every preceding one and the same as it was and is on all other devices on every other version of iOS that had multitasking.
With the iPhone 7 on iOS 10.3.3 there actually was no delay. It was instant when you pressed the button. Only on the iPhone 7 though because of the capacitive home button. This isn’t just my opinion, it is factual. Is it because of the capacitive home button and the ability to interrupt animations in iOS 10.3.3, it wouldn’t have to wait for the second press for multitasking, it would just morph the app close animation into the entering multitasking animation.

This is not new information but thanks.

From the post you quoted.

All betas and released versions of iOS 11 had this behavior

the same as it was and is on all other devices on every other version of iOS that had multitasking.
The 7/7+ (and now 8/8+) operate at the same speed as all other devices with a physical button.

Apple unified the home button response speed across all devices with a home button. Period.

PB 3 installation stuck at "Preparing Update..."
Anyone else?

It’s taking a long time to prepare and install

It never gets to preparing for me. I click ‘Download and Install’. The activity wheel icon in the top bar starts moving. But it never progresses to doing a download or install. I tried removing my beta profile, reinstalling and restarting. Still it does nothing.

I have an original iPad Air and I started using the iOS 11 beta a few weeks before release. I don’t know what to do other than install iOS 11.0.3 and see if that will allow me to get the 11.1 beta.

And yet there were still long discussions about similar type of delays in relation to iPhone 7 in the early days of iOS 10.

Is this app closing animation new ?
No, it does that when you close an app that’s on a different home screen page than the page you’re going back to. So if you open an app using the task switcher from the home screen, and that app is on a different home screen page than the page you’re currently on, you’ll get that animation when you close the app.

That was hard so explain, sorry if it was confusing haha
