Guys can people confirm the IPSW option to update through iTunes in windows. That would confirm it’s the GM. Because as far as I know Apple doesn’t let windows users do that with a beta version. Isn’t it?

It is the GM. The build number reflects it, the full download reflects it, also the feedback app is removed which also reflects it. This is the GM /end

The phone needs to settle after a major update like this. Indexing May cause lag but should be much better after a few hours.

anyone want me to check a bug? If so, tell me step by step how to replicate it

Have they moved Springboard into "system services" in the new beta?

Anybody try this with CarPlay yet? That’s the one thing keeping me on 10, when I tried beta 1 it didn’t work well with my Kenwood.

I’ve haven’t many issues with it running on my Pioneer. CarPlay is a bit more crashy than usual but that’s to be expected with a beta, even then it’s rare enough. Haven’t tried this release yet as I’m on the public beta and don’t feel like swapping that profile for the dev one.

Strange in that I did not receive the welcome screen on either of my devices, iPhone 7 Plus or 2017 iPad. Maybe it's because I did a full update install via iTunes? Performance is flawless on both devices so far with no stuttering, lag. etc. The calculator on the iPhone 7 Plus seems fine to me.

Nothing to fix since I didn't have the the delay in the first place on my iPhone 7 Plus and 2017 iPad.
LOL you have the only device on the planet that has been perfectly flawless since the 1st beta of 11.0 all the way until the 4th beta of 11.1. Congrats! You should play the lottery if you don't already. :)

I am aware of that. However Apple doesn’t let you do that for beta versions of iOS on windows. If this has to be the GM then it would let windows users to do so.
I've definitely flashed beta IPSWs from Windows so I'm not sure what to tell you. This is almost certainly a GM build though so...

I have never seen a beta release on a Friday. Also hoping the Bluetooth streaming bug is fixed.
There have been some of those before (I believe even one was on Saturday or Sunday even). Seems like with updates like that it's usually to get some important fix out and/or to get some additional beta testing for a public release that would usually be coming quite soon after.

This update is blisteringly fast on my iPhone 7. Super impressed. Apple took their time but got there in the end. iOS 11 was a dog until now!

This beta feels so so smooth on my phone, most of the iOS 11.0 performance problems seem fixed.

I don't know why Apple can't just release the next version of iOS a little later, and spend more time optimizing performance, rather than making people suffer through a month of slightly laggy devices.
Honestly, I think it's because they rely on the diagnostics data from the massive install base to figure out how to take care of certain issues. You can test for years internally in a company, but certain things will only come to light once it's out in the wild.

With 11.1 including the Krack vulnerability wi-fi fixes I'm sure they want it to get out asap
