Home button delay seems much less to me
[doublepost=1508782427][/doublepost]Also 3rd party apps closing animation seems slightly slower?

Can anyone else confirm that closing animation is slower on 3rd party apps when compared to Apple apps.

That’s a relative question that it seems only you can answer.

Actually, it's purely objective when you consider that the delay did not exist in iOS 10. So this is definitely a question that anyone can answer. Your sarcasm is not needed here.

Switch to Android or stick with a 6s on down.

This is quite honestly a stupid, unhelpful, and lazy non-solution to a very real problem that did not exist in iOS 10.

To answer the question (since neither of you could), people are reporting that the delay is mitigated somewhat, so there's hope that it is fixed.

That people can't even really tell, tells you everything you need to know about the significance of the difference.

Actually, that tells us nothing. For iOS 11, there are people who observe it, and people who don't.

For iOS 10, the issue didn't exist and so there were no complaints about it.

That means that literally the only change between the two (with respect to this problem) is that there are now people unhappy with the delay.

I don't get why this is so hard for those who didn't notice the delay to understand. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean that the issue doesn't exist.

All this being said, I know an MR mod will come soon to delete this and probably my previous post (like they've done before), so hopefully enough of the naysayers see it and try to understand.

So wouldn't it then be a fairly rational reply to say to someone that mainly only they themselves would be the judge of whether the delay is still noticeable to them and to what degree?

It especially is not a rational reply in the context it is used, which is the fallacy that if it isn't noticed by even one person, it can't be reported on nor complained about (which seems to be the attitude of every "I can't see it" responder in this forum).

I’m guessing this was a wifi related update. Both my iPads and my iPhone suddenly claimed the password for my 5G network was incorrect after the update. Reboot of devices and router did not help. Only after forcing it to forget the network and adding it again everything worked fine.

They likely get deleted because there's a thread specifically for this "home button delay/lag". If you read the title of this thread, it's clearly intended to discuss bug fixes, changes and improvements. Therefore, if the issue you're so upset about is still present it doesn't belong here.

So I had downloaded the iOS 11.1 beta 4 IPSW and updated through iTunes. Now I installed the iOS 11 beta profile and trying to update to beta 5 but it keeps saying software up to date.

Any ideas why?

It is perfectly reasonable to ask if a bug has been fixed (which has happened in literally every "bug fixes, changes and improvements" thread since it started), which is what the home button delay/lag posts are asking. Nice attempt at trying to sound like you know what you're talking about though.

FWIW, I'm still on iOS 10; I'm just posting here on behalf of iOS 11 users who notice these kinds of bugs because I'm tired of people dismissing legitimate issues just because they don't notice them themselves.

I'm guessing you have the public beta profile? I don't think it's released for public beta yet.

I'm guessing it's because you have the public beta profile installed and this is a developer beta. Public betas are generally released between a couple of hours to a day or two later.

It was asked to the people who notice the delay. Those who don't needn't make snide comments about it.

Seems like a fairly rational comment for an issue of that type saying that most of the call would be on the individual to make for themselves would be quite reasonable and not snide. People can try to read more into a comment and spin it in some way, but that doesn't change what's actually there.

And this is all especially so given that many times we've seen various people who have seen an issue of this type post that they aren't experiencing it anymore or it's much improved after some update while others would still see it or even come back saying it's worse for them. If anything the history of this has shown that original comment about it to be quite applicable and realistic.

Oh wow. Care to explain where I made any statement that wasn't factual? Or for that matter, where I dismissed anybody else's opinion?

I don't mind that one of the first comments in every single iteration of these threads is asking about the delay. After all, that's what the thread is for. What I was referring to was the posts that continue to harp on it and argue over whether it's there or not long after the initial post has received a response.
