bugs like that usually get fixed in .2 updates. I remember last year the settings app would open scrolled down a little and it wasnt until the .2 update like beta 3 or 4 when they finally fixed itMaybe they will release Beta 6 to fix the calculator bug. Only a speculation
Possibly before the iphone x comes out in this week or nextSo when do we expect the GM to go live?
I'd like to think it would be later today, but perhaps that is a little bit too hopeful.
iOS you're drunk. Go home.I hope Apple fixes this 2 annoying bugs in iOS 11 for me, i reported them both.
Did someone notice them personally?
iOS11 works better on my 6 that it worked on iOS10. But I know people who have opposite experience. So really difficult to tell...
You probably don't use the 6 as your daily driver or you don't use third party apps much on it to experience how horrible is it on 6 , my friend got a 6 running iOS 11.0.3 and it's crap the phone lags and things and apps run slowly , Notification Center lags while scrolling when there's a few notifications there and other lags, apparently the iPhone 6 ain't well optimized for iOS 11!
I have a friend 'upgrading' to a 6 tomorrow and I’m helping her to set it up. Should I avoid 11.1 on a 6?
[doublepost=1508852573][/doublepost]This is what Apple needs to fix release security patches across all iOS versions and stop rendering apps obsolete on previous iOS versionsYour friend should try the Beta if it's that important. I had similar performance problems on my Air 2 with 11.0.3 that have since been fixed in latest Beta releases.
Bad advice, but if you do, they should avoid public WiFi. Actually, everyone should avoid public WiFi

There’s been no indication 10.x is going to be patched.
Are betas versions of iOS supposed be installed on your daily driver iOS devices so that's the problem testing betas on your daily drivers could cause problems you wouldn't like

Exactly let all the bugs and lags be fixed across all devices then he can upgrade but right now you're saying you don't have any lags in the Notification Center while scrolling through and slow downs while running third party apps ?This latest Beta is pretty solid and I don't have any issues with it. Or he can wait - 11.1 general release should be out soon.
I have an iPhone 6 (16 GB) running iOS 11.0.3 and am very pleased with performance and battery life. I will definitely upgrade it to 11.1 once officially released. I’m running iOS 11.1 Beta 5 on an iPhone 7 Plus and an 5th Gen iPad with excellent results.I have a friend 'upgrading' to a 6 tomorrow and I’m helping her to set it up. Should I avoid 11.1 on a 6?
I totally disagree with you. I have an iPhone 6 on iOS 11.0.3 with excellent performance and battery life. I will upgrade to iOS 11.1 as soon as it’s officially released. I haven’t because the iPhone 6 is my test bed for official releases.Stay on iOS 10 please as iOS 11 is horrible on 6 and 6+
Thing is the public releases of iOS 11 feel like betas themselves so might as well go along with the public beta on your daily driverAre betas versions of iOS supposed be installed on your daily driver iOS devices so that's the problem testing betas on your daily drivers could cause problems you wouldn't like

Well you're running an iPad Air 2 with a 2Gb ram remember we are talking about an iPhone 6 here with a 1gb ramYes, the lags are gone in my Air 2 with Beta 5 (and with Beta 4).
Apple made a mistake, of course its becoming popular. Its everytime the sameCalculatorgate is becoming really popular http://www.loopinsight.com/2017/10/...o-the-ios-11-calculator-i-bet-you-wont-get-6/
No. iPhone 6s also has such delay. He should just go to android entirely cause there is no such a thing called “double tap” and “home button”, fundamentally invalidate all arguments.Dude!!! Stop asking... this has been beaten to death. Switch to Android or stick with a 6s on down.
The solution was iOS 10. It had no issues with double tap whilst having no delayNo. iPhone 6s also has such delay. He should just go to android entirely cause there is no such a thing called “double tap” and “home button”, fundamentally invalidate all arguments.
[doublepost=1508856580][/doublepost]Seriously, this home button delay argument must STOP! Neither side can fully convince the other and Apple may never bother fixing this issue. I would call that a random thing in a complex operating system.
Don’t forget, in iOS, there is something called double tap. If the delay is not there, how could the system recognize a double tap is a double tap? Or do we need to see a weird animation just to remove that delay? Take your pick, either weird animation or a delay. Or if anyone is so genius, bring a new solution to this issue and enlighten all viewers here.
I got 6. But, yes, there's an issue there: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/calculator-app-is-unusable.2078357/Type 1+2+3 on the calculator. The result is 24.
Press the buttons quickly and it'll result in 24.I get 6.

That's honestly sad lol
