Apple does not provide a way to get IPSW if you are a Public Beta Tester.Just downloaded the full 11.1 PB5 IPSW file so I will try updating using that via iTunes.
Thank you, this worked for me.Just trying nuking the Beta Profile, rebooting, checking for update, re-installing the beta profile and trying again.
Heh. It didn't work for me.Thank you, this worked for me.
Yeah, it took an unusually long time for me too, considering the small size of the update. Also made my phone quite warm although that might be because I’m using a wireless charging case.Heh. It didn't work for me.
Appears a reset may be the magic ticket though. Progress bar on the Apple Logo screen after rebooting from verifying update (installing).
Going VERY slowly for such a small update < 40MB.
Edit: And rebooted again before the progress bar finished....hmm.
Edit2: Yep, that was successful. Now, let's see if I can't restore my PB4 iCloud backup from this morning, so I have all of my apps back.![]()
Regarding the delay, I see a very slight delay, possibly about 1/2 of a second. This on my 7. Unless my iPhone 7 is just not as laggy as some that are complaining about this then I just can't quite see this as an issue, at least for me. I rather like the way it transitions back to the home screen.Try this:
Open any app you want.
Wait a few seconds.
Click the home button (click it one time only: to go to the homescreen, not twice to go to the switcher).
Does the animation start immediately or does it start after about a second?
The animation is smooth, probably 60fps, but it is just delayed by about one second after you click the "button".
If you haven't used an iPhone 7 on iOS 10, then you probably won't notice it, as you never saw how the animation can start as soon as you click the home button.
Every iDevice has had the delay except the iPhone 7 on iOS 10 but not on iOS 11, that's why only iPhone 7 users who upgraded to iOS 11 have this issue.
Well, it's letting me restore my iCloud backup from 5:45am this morning on the Air2, so we'll see if there's any issues after that.Yeah, it took an unusually long time for me too, considering the small size of the update. Also made my phone quite warm although that might be because I’m using a wireless charging case.
It worked for me also, thanks fiscersd!Thank you, this worked for me.
Umm you are one user that cannot install. That does not constitute as an "ALL" as I asked.Wiping the Air 2.
@maugustine - Apple Maps on my 6s loads directions fine with PB5.
@sbailey4 - Umm...read, then post?![]()

I didn't have to wipe to get it to install. I think Apple just fixed it.
Does anyone have issues updating OpenTable, Zomato, and Yelp in iOS 11? Ever time there is an app update, the installation freezes and I have to reboot for the install to complete. It just so happens that these apps also integrate with Apple Maps.
AirPods back to cutting out like crazy. Seemed fixed in last beta
Adding my voice to the chorus:
No install on 8 Plus coming from PB4.
Yeah, I understand the reasoning for it and my click speed is set in the middle. I think it's just not enough of an issue for some to be concerned about it. I did notice the difference after updating but thought it was Apples way of offering up a smoother transition back to home. In any case I'm fine with it.Set the home button “Click Speed” to “Slowest”
That will delay it about a second.
This is because the device waits for a possible second click before it starts a one click animation.
Set any “Triple Click” feature and it is even slower.
