Did someone reset your NVRAM again?

The home button response time is not input lag. It's an intentionally applied timing, which is the same across all devices with a button on iOS 11.

I am still hoping Apple will change their minds on this and get it fixed.

So annoying. They didn’t fix it from the first release of iOS 11.

I was just at a Verizon store today and tried to repo the Home button lag on their iPhone 8 with 11.0 and didn't see the lag.

I can’t add a new city to the Apple weather app. Searching for a city also takes a very long time. Anyone else having this issue?

The new Music Player widget in the lockscreen seems to be very buggy... Besides your problem of split-second wrong album art, I've also heard of issues like the music scrubber not moving when music is actually playing, widget appearing even music is not being played anywhere etc, graphical display issues, and so on.

The Now Playing widget in Control Center is also pretty terrible...it constantly reverts to Music even if I've been listening to podcasts all day, among other issues.

Is there any way to install the public beta via iTunes (ipsw), rather than OTA?

OTA takes forever for me and the phone gets raging hot. I'd fear for its life if I did it again that way.

Thanks!

The solution was iOS 10. It had no issues with double tap whilst having no delay
If the solution was iOS 10 why aren't you still running it? This forum would certainly be less cluttered.

There is nothing to fix! isn't that clear by now?

Weird. I wonder what is wrong then. I still am unable to load directions this morning. I click on a place in Apple maps and the details pane just remains blank with the spinning wheel.
Ok, so something's pinned on the map, you force press on it, click on directions and it does nothing but spin?

Heh...you did allow maps GPS access the first time you ran it, right? :)

Google maps works ok?

Yeah, to all of the above. I think they had a server side issue that just happened to coincide with my install of the latest beta. Things seem to be working again now :-D

Never in my life have I heard such a first world problem. Why don’t you try getting some tribal leaders to sympathize with you about your home button.

Diverting attention away from the issue by calling it a first world problem doesn't make you correct.

I'm done arguing about this. Those of us concerned about the delay will continue to ask about it in future iterations of these threads until it is fixed, and nothing you say can change that.
