iOS 11.2.5 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

iPhone 7 Plus here. Animations are probably a bit faster, but it's hard to notice a difference. It's definitely not "wicked fast" as this Reddit guy from #46 tells.

I'm from Germany and I have Apple Pay enabled, but there are no signs of Apple Pay Cash. Also no signs of iMessage in the Cloud.
 
Not sure if I see any iOS animation improvements on my X. However hoping to see the dreadfully annoying 3D bug go away.

My guess here is that Apple was forced to rush 11.2 out the door, so 11.2.5 is them continuing to work on issues that they didn't have time to fix in 11.2.

Works for me everywhere where contactless cards are accepted. All supermarkets, restaurants and a few bars here in Freiburg.

Checkout operator in Aldi was blown away

Well it’s hard to pay with credit cards in Germany, they prefer cash so Apple Pay is not so useful as it is in France. But I mostly use it in some supermarkets like Lidl, where I’m sure it works. But if you want to pay with it at the cinema, a bar or anything small....just forget it.
But because they love so much cash, they are always shocked to see me paying with my Watch, it’s really fun.
 
On my 5S, it feels like they improved the RAM management when bringing apps from background

On the X, quite speedy! Apple stock apps got a boost

just installed it it'll take me some time to really get a feel for things

Bug fix: Apple Pay Suica notifications are working again in this release (big deal for Japanese users - bug was introduced in 11.2 and isn't fixed in 11.2.1)

iPhone X users - note that Instagram doesn’t work properly on this beta. It crashes any time you want to post a story or take a picture inside the app.

Glad I held off on installing this
