Still have that stupid Safari bug from several betas ago, where I open the app and one of my tabs (usually the one with these forums open on it) shows up blank. URL bar also blank until I tap it. So annoying.

Beta 2 performance is a lot worse for me on my X . The first beta was a lot lot better. Smooth and awesome battery life felt like a finished product.

How are iPhone 8/8+/X users finding GPS on this beta? I am on my fourth iphone X but feedback that people started to experience issues after installing ios 10 has me hoping this is a software issue.

I am strictly speaking about navigating on foot, rather than using the phone in the car.

Who was silly enough to install iOS 10 on an iPhone 8/8+/X?

Even silliness can't make something essentially impossible happen.
They are clearly trying to figure out if it’s a software or hardware issue. That’s why they are asking specifically those who have an 8, 8 plus, or X if they have had issues and then says he has hope that it may just be a software issue as he heard of people experiencing the same issue after just a software update. He probably meant iOS 11, not iOS 10, but he never said anything about iPhone 8, 8 plus or X users being on iOS 10.

Ok I’ve had camera issues lately with both 11.2.5 betas.

When accessing from the lock screen it will just freeze on a blurred picture. The only way to fix it is to go to the home screen, go to the task manager and quit the camera app and open again.

Happened a few times on beta 1 and again today on beta 2

So after a few days of running 11.2.5 beta 2 on my over-two-year-old iPhone 6s, it has been damn impressive. Very smooth, no lag, doesn’t even feel like a beta at all. Geekbench scores match what I was running on 10.3.3, and battery life has been INCREDIBLE.

I’m crossing my fingers Apple doesn’t screw this up on the public release.

That does look incredible. I have an SE and I hope I get the same results when this officially drops. Apple’s official releases are bad enough, I don’t trust their betas anymore because they obviously don’t listen to the bugs we send them through the feedback app

What are your top used apps? That does look pretty good and I am in same boat with 6s a little over 2 yrs. The apps make a difference tho like playing music etc will bump that up substantially.

Most definitely. When I’m streaming my SiriusXM radio app or any kind of gameplay, I would never expect my battery to post these results. Since yesterday was a crazy day at work, I was too preoccupied to enjoy those extra curricular activities (though I was able to squeeze in a few podcasts). Still happily impressed, nonetheless.

Nice! So Safari seems to be the most used. So yeah that looks pretty good. I also meant playing music local not streaming. I can get that WAY up there if playing downloaded music and screen off for most of it. Debating putting this beta on phone. Was waiting for a new release version this week. I haven't really seen many reports of fixes or issues other than a handful of iPX users. I have it on iPad Mini and it seems ok but I don't use it that much.

This is by far the most polished iOS 11 beta on my iPhone 6s. Nothing has really jumped out at me where I wouldn’t recommend it.

So is this beta causing anybody else to randomly have no cell signal at times until restart or just me? Also, random heat ups and lag.

Interestingly enough, on my iPhone 7 Plus that’s about to hit the one year mark, my Geekbench score is almost 500 points higher than what’s listed for the 7 Plus. Hadn’t tested before this beta, also ran the benchmark without closing anything, restarting etc so I’d think under less than optimal conditions.

How do I access these beta iOS updates? If I understand correctly if I try out a beta update and it is not satisfactory I will be able to reverse to the previous iOS, is that correct?

Will there be any additional risks I should be aware of?
