Open the control center and see where the volume slider is. It may be all the way down.

Known issue throughout the thread. You can go into settings>sound and select a sound for say, new mail. Or just slide the slider volume up and down. It seems if it was 1/2 way down or so is when it would bug out. Anyway trying any of these options seems to make your sounds work again. Hopefully beta 4 coming today and will fix this issue with the system sounds.

Ah I hadn’t spotted the issue and oddly not noticed it getting text messages recently!

IPad Pro 10.5 here and the initial lag when loading apps is very apparent — Looking forward to the beta where hopefully this is addressed. Reported it to Apple.
