Already did.... No response yet.

You may or may not receive a response, and you certainly will not receive an immediate response. Occasionally, I won’t see a reply from Apple until a few weeks after I reported an issue. However, when I notice something is not performing as it should, I always report it. The way I see it, no matter how small or trivial it may be, as beta testers it’s what we all volunteered to do and it never hurts.

I repeat. It is really good to have you back. For a moment, I thought you are so happy with the X that you aren't posting anything here.

With no disrespect to him, sincerely; I have come to navigate the forum and recognise when a post is made by Dan just because of that unique style of posting. Please don't bring him to take that away. :D

When are you planning to move to an OS with 'actual improvements', such as Android? I do not think Apple will get it together for some time. Are you willing to wait or move to

I actually had only Androids before and switched to iOS , because it’s sayd thats the most stable and bug free OS. This is my first iPhone and I was very happy with 10.3.3 it was almost perfect.
iOS 11 is a dissapointment in my opinion not even close to what Apple can deliver.

Hang in there. I’ve only had iPhones and iPads. I’ve had every one since from the original on. I’ve also had every iOS since the first. iOS 10 beta almost killed my iPad mini 2 so I did not install any of those betas on my iPhone or other iPad. But the release version was fine on all devices. 11 has been quite poor from beta versions through the release, and is still a bit rough on the current 11.2.1. I’m out of the beta versions, each one seems worse than the previous.

11 has been the worst experience overall compared to all the others. I would assume this will be resolved, unfortunately with a lot of pain for beta testers. I’m hopeful that there’s a reason this has been radically different for me from all other iOSes.

Someone explain to me what’s the point of these betas if they just keep making things worse by the time iOS 11 is stable iOS 12 will be out lol
Yeah well supposedly that's how betas work. Each one may focus on some entirely different area and break other areas. I am not sure I really buy that totally in a x.x.X version with no features but.......... I guess if they are looking at some deep issue and trying to fix it it may break other things along the way. I actually went back to 11.2.1 myself because beta 3 was a mess and no reason to run it and deal with the issues it brought. (yeah I reported some bugs first before I get flamed by some here)

This Beta 3 is definitely worse then Beta 2. All kind of glitches like the sound ones, worse battery life , noticible slower charging , weather widget still not fixed...
Hope they release Beta 4 fast with actual improvements.

Wow, so since when is it not ok to hope for a next beta that fixes more things than it breaks? (unlike this beta 3) I think maybe you read his post wrong or something. A lot here are going back to beta 2 for that reason, or even all the way back to release version.

"Hope they release Beta 4 fast with actual improvements.", he said. The nature of beta cycle is a topsy turvy ride. Something that was going great can suddenly go kaput with no other outward improvement to account for. It is more than likely I was unusually sharp-tongued, but to me what he said sounded more or less just a whine. Just because there was no outward 'actual improvement' to account for, does not mean they have been fooling about. I guess I was just tired of the hard bashing Apple devs get since they decided to release the wilderness of beta onto an unacclimatised public who was not trained in the ways of a beta.

Emotions never ran so high, and issues never so impatiently met, when beta was released only to paying developers who knew what they were getting into.

I see your point and agree. And yes certainly plenty of whining here about a beta that has issues here and there. But I think the point was beta 3 was a lot worse than beta 2 and even beta 1. And the hope is that a beta 4, that actually improves things this time, is looked forward to. But heck b4 may even be worse! Ha.

have you guys noticed that this is better than 11.2.1?
No. At least not beta 3. B1 and B2 were fine but not really that much different than 11.2.1 as far as I could tell but this one seems to have all sorts of random issues for various users and devices.

For my 6 Plus this beta is much quicker and more reliable than beta 2. Just goes to show how different devices and their code bases can be.

11 overall is not great (11.2 is actually pretty good for a beta in my experience) but lets be honest, iOS 7 was by far the worst beta released. It basically was an alpha it was so unreliable (slow, crashed constantly).

I have the same issue. Open any app. The app takes 5-10 seconds to open. It crashes. Open it again. It takes 5-10 seconds to start. Then, scroll or switch tabs or press a button, and its slow to respond taking 5 seconds for an action to perform. This ia true for all apps, system or 3rd party. I cant use my phone now. iPhone 7+. :(

Thank goodness it's not just me! The lag is so bad that it takes 10-15 seconds to open some apps and then some will crash. If not, then a LOT of stuttering!

Bright white uses the least amount of battery on lcd screens. It’s the darker colours that do.

Beginning yesterday, I’ve had severe lag throughout iOS on my iPhone 7.

Haven’t made any changes to configuration or installed any new apps.

A hard restart resolves the issue for a period of time and then it returns.

Anyone else experiencing this behavior?

iOSBry
Wish a hard reset helped mine!

So are we ready for public release yet guys?? I’ve not let went the the latest beta
IMO, and probably that of many others, it’s not even close. Have a read through some of this thread.

I’m back on 11.2.1 due to battery issues on my X.

So I just installed this update from beta 2 and wasn’t expecting any difference at all judging by the previous betas, but I instantly noticed an improvement in performance and my phone now no longer feels as much of a bogged down stuttery laggy mess. I’m impressed because I thought my 6S had had it. I just hope that it stays this way and doesn’t slow down now. iOS 11 still has frame drops though which I don’t think will be fully resolved (if ever), along with many other issues but I’ll gladly take this for now.

I don't use the hotspot very often so I'm not sure if this is new behavior and/or unique to this beta or not. After using the phone as a hotspot away from home (which disables WiFi) and then turning the hotspot off, the phone would not automatically reconnect to my home WiFi AP after I returned home.... it remained on LTE. Upon opening the control center, the WiFi icon was white (off) instead of blue (on). Manually clicking on the WiFi icon turned it blue and it then connected normally.

Anyone else? I sent feedback in case this is an obscure bug.

Paul

Always do. Well aware of how to report issues and if/when to expect responses. Was simply stating the status since people were questioning others abilities to report issues. Lectures not really necessary.

Just noticed AirPlay 2 is working with my Apple TV 4k again after they had removed it a couple versions ago.

Brightness can certainly play a difference in battery usage, colors not really enough to be noticeable/meaningful on LCDs.

my X was slow and clunky on this update , battery not bad but not amazing. I deleted the TV app and the difference is night and day.

Might be a fluke or a rogue app, but i did reinstall beta twice, so doubt its that.

a lot smoother now and battery is much better
5 hours usage (no music) 25 hours standby 53% remaining battery

Probably a fluke , but makes you wonder!
