Charging is slower with this beta.

I plugged my iPhone X earlier into my apple 29w USB-C charger and after 1hr 15mins it’s gone from 1% to 69%. Previously it would be at 85% at a similar time frame.

I've found that my BT headphones disconnect while paused (for 10 min or more usually) often, the headphone play button doesn't resume playback. Also, I dunno if it's app specific, but I've been listening to visual VM and the phone has gone into lock and stopped playback
I experience the same on 11.2.1.
I also have another annoying issue: when I leave my office with the AirPods on (leaving my phone behind) and return after a few minutes they have trouble reconnecting properly. I can select them in the AirPlay menu but they do not work (endless loop of connecting). Only way to fix is to put them in their case for a few minutes. This has never happened on previous iOS releases.

I just rolled back to a Beta 2 using the above mention Shift-Update IPSW method, and things are running normal speed again. Wondering if Apple decided to put the same “slow down the processors code” into 11.2.5 Beta 3 for iPads it’s been putting into iPhones. Cause the lag was horrendous and painful.

Hi, also rolled back to beta 2 by running Ipsw file. Settings and everything is running fine now, no lags etc.

Waiting for beta 4 or 5....

Thanks all for help!

Andy

My iPhone X is running fine on this beta, but my iPad pro 9.7 is super laggy. Waiting for next beta to see if improvement.

This beta is so weird. It says I took 55 steps a few minutes ago but I haven’t left my bed. Whats up with that?

Strange. I tried that first on my iPad Air 2, and it didn’t make a difference. Even tried a Reset All Settings and it didn’t make a difference. (Wish I would have tried the roll back first!)

Only when I rolled back to Beta 2 did it fix it.

Sleepwalking? ;)

Beta 3 left a sour taste in my mouth. I rolled back to 11.2.1 and plan on staying until the official release is confirmed to be (major) bug free. Not being able to charge is a big deal to me.

IPhone X here. I am having some of the same low volume audio issues with text tones etc even though my ringer volume is at about 80 percent. Hopefully that will get fixed soon.

Went to bed last night with around 42% left so I decided to leave it off the charger while I slept, woke up at 38% I think and still haven’t put it on to charge yet. Wanted to see how far I could get it to go. Seems like battery life has seriously improved for me.

What model do you have out of interest?

The GPU in the X is so dam powerful so why does it lag with simple swipe gestures, always when I unlock phone and swipe to widget page it lag jumps but then again it’s fine is it ram management I restored

This Beta 3 is definitely worse then Beta 2. All kind of glitches like the sound ones, worse battery life , noticible slower charging , weather widget still not fixed...
Hope they release Beta 4 fast with actual improvements.

Someone explain to me what’s the point of these betas if they just keep making things worse by the time iOS 11 is stable iOS 12 will be out lol
Dan, why are you even trying this Beta to begin with?!
From your post history I think it's well established you don't have a lot of patience to deal with any minor little bug or stutter, so why put yourself through the Beta path, where you know those niggles are much more likely to happen? Specially in a small x.x.x release like this, with zero new features?
I'm not saying iOS is perfect, and even though for me 11 has been generally ok, I can see from other poster's feedbacks that there seem to be more issues than usual. But you got your X and seemed content for a while, so why not stay in whichever iOS version that was for the foreseeable future?
Not updating to a new beta / official release as soon as it's out is ok, trust me.
Wait a few days, read feedback here on the forums, and if you think you'll really benefit with the update, then do it.
Ideally do not try any of the iOS 12 betas, wait a few months until after it's officially released to be on the safe side.
If there's something you think is a bug/lag, you're surely entitled to post about it, but try to do it in an reasonable manner, and once should be enough. Complaining about the same thing several times in a day, multiple days in a row, is slightly... immature.
Oh, and using some punctuation in your posts would also be very welcome! ;)

I repeat. It is really good to have you back. For a moment, I thought you are so happy with the X that you aren't posting anything here.

With no disrespect to him, sincerely; I have come to navigate the forum and recognise when a post is made by Dan just because of that unique style of posting. Please don't bring him to take that away. :D

When are you planning to move to an OS with 'actual improvements', such as Android? I do not think Apple will get it together for some time. Are you willing to wait or move to Android?
