iOS 11.2.5 Beta 4 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Can someone test WiFi calling? The user at the other end of the call reporting noises.

Remember how many people out there are running betas that shouldn't be, and the fact that they'll all go running to the Apple Store to get their phone fixed if there is a showstopper bug.

Trust me, Apple doesn't want to deal with these people.

I install the dev betas right away, usually, but I know what I'm getting into and know how to restore my device. There's a lot of people who are like "OOH I WANT TO TRY THE LATEST ****!!" who have no clue. The delay is to find any showstoppers to avoid pain and suffering.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, if you use assistive touch, your volume controls on the assistive touch don't work when the phone is locked, you keep pressing the controls but nothing really moves. Tried on iPhone X and 7. Works fine when it is unlocked.

I rather hope not. Can't quite say which are genuine bugs and which are expectations.

3 hours for a beta release where people are still posting their experiences and gives some a bit of time to read up on it all is really that much of an issue?

I just Alt updated to 11.2.2 and Attention Aware works perfectly for calls, just updated back to 11.2.5 beta 4 and it's broken again, so definitely nothing wrong with my phone hardware.
 
I’m a developer myself and that’s why I do not understand why is so hard to fix bugs like the weather widget. I know it’s a beta but 10 to 15 Beta’s to fix something like this?!!! Someone at Apple is sleeping or at least is not paying attention.
 
Could someone please elaborate the smart punctuation bug in Messages? And on which device?

I don’t recall reading about this issue.

Pretty sure they have more pressing issue than the weather widget but it's fixed in the latest public release 11.2.2. It will eventually come to this release maybe for GM/RC 11.2.5

I'm expecting them to fix the weather widget on 11.3. If not fixed by then, we might have to wait to iOS 12, sadly.

Not fixed in 11.2.2. It just seemed so but location and temperatures are still not updating as they are supposed to.

Um first its been more like 32 or so because it hasn't worked since iOS 11.0 b1. Also same could apply to the calculator that wasn't fixed until 11.2. Some will say "they have other pressing issues" but that seems to be a pad answer to about every issue that folks complain about. There is always something more pressing than the usability of the device apparently. Odd part is they break UI stuff that worked fine in previous versions then take 40 forevers to fix it again.

Could be something of a lower priority for one reason or another, could be something that's more complicated in the sense that while some are experiencing issues with it many others aren't, or that there's something deeper down behind it that needs more attention, could be something else.

I hope so because I can’t go back to 11.2.2. I din’t Wanna loose my messages and other stuff.

You can go back to the release version while retaining everything by shift+clicking update in iTunes and pointing it toward the 11.2.2 IPSW.

Wish they’d add a setting to adjust the volume of the keyboard “clicks” and such.

I have issues hearing certain frequencies in my right ear and while it was a bit much before the fix, I’d like it a little louder than it is now in beta 4.

My weather widget bug was closed and duped to another one which is still open.

Engineering did however have me generate a number of logs after reproducing the issue with the widget.
