Yes they do. Those $1000 phones arent going to sell themselves you know
They seem to sell themselves quite handily.

Not saying its related to battery. They have maliciously slowed it down to upsell the X. Even the iPhone 8 has home button delay.
UNfortunately it seems that trying to prove these things by well intentioned humans never works out. Looks like there is uneven button press in that gif, leading to misleading "results".

That’s so subjective that test. How can the individual guarantee they press the button at the exact same time on each phone?

The only way to prove a delay would be have the same phone tested once on iOS 10 and then DFU to iOS 11. For each test it would need to be hooked up to a computer than can time the input from the button press to the phone reacting.

Even if there is a delay, intentional or not, that clip shows it’s not an issue as the delay is almost imperceptible and wouldn’t affect anyone using the phone. Apart from measuring the speed of the home button response.

I came from a 7 Plus to the X and I never noticed any difference in the home button response.

That's actually pretty subjective... and hardly "concrete proof" of anything.

I don't quite understand what is going on but since I installed this last public beta, I seem to have real battery issues on my X. Yesterday I even saw the battery under 20%. I never saw that before. Seems like Safari was the culprit. Today, I am already at 48% and did not use my phone that much.

Do not understand... my typical day is 60-70% battery life left at the end of the day. I do have 220+ apps installed on the phone but that is where I usually am.

Maybe force close safari and clear the cache (history and website data). See if that helps with the safari issues.

Not impressed with battery life on this Beta. Have had better on my 6S+

I think battery life could be a little better. But overall by far the best beta of 11.2.5 for my iPhone X. Stutters are gone. Back to silky smooth. I did have mail crash on me earlier today. But that’s the only problem I’ve had the past few days.

I think it’s ready for prime time

iPhone 7 home button delay is still alive and kicking. After using the X it's atrocious how Apple turned the home button into a piece of trash.
Why not selling all home button equipped devices and get money back?
Also, my “trash” iPhone 6s Plus home button has no delay. At least no noticeable delay. Very solid.

Done on purpose/working as intended. They have to show that iPhone X without home button is faster. No one believed and yet here we are!

Given the $1000 price tag and mediocre feature updates, I would argue it will not. There was even a headline saying iPhone ex sale was not as good as it could be comparing with previous iPhone. I don’t remember where I saw that headline though.

And just see how many 6 Plus and 6s Plus users request battery replacement instead of upgrading to a newer device, people don’t think their phone needs to be upgraded. A new battery and yet another 2 years.

Yeah tried all that and no go... the phone back was getting warm, close to camera, just sitting there...

I reset the phone completely and restored the backup; let's see how it goes tomorrow. It's odd though, never had this kind of problem throughout many betas.

I’m not getting as good battery life as normal and not sure why. With the same daily usage I would normally be around 50-55% at this point. I’m currently at 35%.

What is annoying is that the phone stats don’t reset on each charge. Only the times do.

So if you have an app that’s causing a battery issue you have no way of knowing. My current stats are including stuff from this time onwards yesterday. But the phone has been charged overnight since then.
