iMessage bug STILL NOT FIXED. Where messages received show above what you just sent to someone. This was a line item in the update list of fixes. It’s not fixed. At least not for me.

Absolute definite battery drain on my iphone 7+ and ipad 10.5. They drain far quicker than previous versions.

So far on my 7+ (with everything turned off) Siri, 3D Touch, location, haptic, vibration, background app refresh...

however at least once a day before I reach 50% my springboard will crash randomly, apparently it’s my device only that experiences this.

Highest usage apps that you cannot see are Facebook and safari.

Help needed with two issues please?

iPhone 8+ running 11.2.5(15D60) on Verizon 31.1

Issue 1) when locked and receive notification and respond, I get the hotspot blue ribbon flash across top border of my screen. When I go to settings hotspot is not active.

2) while using both Facebook and Safari I constantly get rerouted to "instant iPhone winner" contest ads. I will attach a picture.

I had springboard crash on my iPhone when 11 was first released. I can’t tell you how I fixed it because I didn’t. I had to wait for 11.1.

There’s this bug in safari where I’m no longer able to view videos in full screen. Whenever I try to play it, the screen goes blank and there’s no video appearing, only the safari video controller. However, going back to the website view, the video plays.. anyone else experiencing this?

I also tried turning off all experimental features ...

Some people were saying 11.2.5 was making their iPhones lag, others said it improved their performance or was the same, everyone's experience seems to vary.
Battery life improved alot

Good day to all! Just wondering if it’s just me or Apple is doing changes in their system. So today, I logged out of my Apple ID on my iPhone X and logged in after a few hours, my two factor authentication is set to on so I was expecting to receive a sms message from Apple with the code. When the message arrived it was from Apple ID sender with the code of course and I noticed something different, the message was already in the BUSINESS CHAT format with Apple ID tagged as verified with a check mark. Is this a change? As far as I know business chat will be available on iOS 11.3 when it gets released to the public. Thank you everyone!

Note: My iphone is running 11.2.5 by the way

2 problems appeared after I updated to 11.2.5 from 11.2.2 on iPhone SE.

(1) When I press TouchID to unlock phone, it gets unlocked but I then have to press home button again to get to home screen. With 11.2.2 and all prior iOS versions, I only had to press Touch ID button once to unlock phone and go to home screen at the same time.

(2) When I do a screen capture, it doesn't make the camera sound. Checked all my settings and nothing changed. Makes camera sound when taking a picture though.

I've been rebooting the phone every time these issues crop up. After about 5th or 6th reboot, everything seems to be fine.

Maybe it's just a coincidence and my home/Touch ID button is going bad?

All the other problems I had (battery drain, slow-downs, freezing/crashing apps) were fixed with 11.2.2 and are still fixed with 11.2.5. But 11.2.5 introduced these two new problems. Should have stayed on 11.2.2

iOS 11 was a clean install too.

Is "Rest Finger to Open" on in Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button?

Setting is Off.

But as I mentioned earlier, everything seems to be fine now. No more having to press Home button 2 times (press #1 wakes and unlocks iPhone; press #2 takes me to home screen) to go from sleep mode to home screen.

Now it's just 1 press to wake, unlock, and go to home screen.... like it's always been.

My iMessage after this update is now laggy and choppy. This release has been the absolute WORST.
In the same boat! iMessage is so bad on my X after the update. It feels like the screen is frozen due low temperatures even when you’re inside lol

clear your safari cache

Battery life is a major iOS 11 problem and @Banglazed didn't mention it in their posts
Edit: and also apple doesn't care for battery issues, may be...

Except for the fact that some say its the best its ever been. So there is not really a definitive answer on battery life as it appears to be different per user/device depending on various aspects.

You’re right. How dare Apple focus on fixing issues with their latest, greatest, most expensive products? Their priorities are all wrong!

Ok, Not exactly following you but that's fine. Also not sure how the iPhone X incoming call delay issue has anything to do with this battery life discussion?

Yes, Apple shouldn't update its garbage in older devices :p
