Can anyone else confirm? Open camera tap to turn off live photo, open messages and use the camera button on the bottom left corner, take a picture and see if it’s still a live photo. Wanna see if it’s just me or not. all other versions of iOS 11 when I turned off live photo in the camera app live photo was also off for pictures sent in the messages app

After update I am having push issues with my outlook.com email account using mail app. Is a delay in sending and receiving.

Same here, I noted that yesterday, but today it seems that is working normally. Let's hope that it continues working without any problem.

Anyone having issues with iPhone 6s Plus? Last night after the update, while browsing the web my iPhone froze with black horizontal lines, and I had to manually reboot it.

I woke up this morning with my phone not turning on; I had to hold down Home and Power for about 30 seconds to boot it up. Then a few minutes later while updating some apps in the App Store, those black horizontal lines showed up again and the phone rebooted by itself after a few seconds.

EDIT: I also want to point out I received this iPhone a few days ago as a replacement when I needed a new battery. But it did not have this issue in the previous days.

I would take it back. Your graphics chip may be defective.

Anyone noticed you can no longer see the time on the lock screen, may only be iPhone X? The time is faded in the background when waking the screen. Anyone know why?

Same here mine now appears to be working normal. Guess sometimes the servers have to update.

I'm going to restore back to 11.2.2 and monitor it. I hadn't had any issues in the 4 days prior with regular use.
I would log the issue with apple via live chat to prove you have a record of it being faulty out of the shop as there likely to deny it and you will be left with a brick

Since the launch of iOS 11, this forum has numerous dozens-pages-long threads on various problems, including ridiculous battery drain. Whether Forbes has a grudge or not is irrelevant, because the problems are real.

It's ridiculous that a $900, one-year-old phone that's still under AppleCare loses 1/3 of its battery life just because of a new software pushed by Apple. After hours and hours of troubleshooting, cleans installs, giving up backups, long calls to Apple, multiple visits to Genius Bars, a battery replacement, and zero improvements, I'm actually starting to develop a grudge myself. Rolling back to iOS 10.3.3 made the phone usable again for now, but a glitch in iOS might force me to upgrade at any moment.

The iOS 10 forum is full of threads as well of all kinds, plenty long ones dealing with different kinds of issues. Pretty much the same thing goes for the iOS 9 forum and other ones as well.

Let's call it my personal grudge: Until iOS 11, I never had 1/3 of my battery life wiped out by a software update.

It turned out that it was also rebooting in 11.2.2 after I downgraded. I called up my local Apple Store and I was able to drop by in the evening to get a replacement. Sorry if I falsely scared some people about 11.2.5.

Experiencing pretty crappy battery life on my 5s. Updated through iTunes from 11.2.2 as soon as 11.2.5 became available. Can't see how a clean install would alleviate the problem since I did a clean install through iTunes when 11.2.2 was released - and that was quite recently. Getting 4-5 hours of light usage whereas on iOS 10 I always got close to 10 hours.

Phone isn't too old either, it was manufactured in Jan 2017 according to the s/n and battery health is still good. Performance is otherwise solid, and has been on all 11.x versions, but the battery life is becoming an issue for me. I've never been the guy to carry a spare charger in his pocket throughout the day but if things don't improve I might have to become that guy :(

Anyone else seeing similar issues on the 5s?
[doublepost=1517071921][/doublepost]I might add that I'm not a heavy user - I mostly use my phone for calls, iMessages and WhatsApp. Most of the heavy stuff is done on my MBP or my iPad. As such, I've never really experienced the "sudden battery death syndrome" which has been reported on various iOS releases throughout the years (I remember people saying that iOS 6 was considerably worse then 5.x in terms of battery, but never noticed it myself...) - however on 11.x my experience has been that battery life has been drastically reduced compared to 10.x or earlier versions.

On a side note, I just got a brand new battery for my old 4s which has now been installed and is currently charging. It'll be fun to use that phone for a day to see how its battery life with a brand new battery compares to my 5s on iOS 11. As I recall, battery life on the 4s was kinda crappy back in the day - but I can't remember it being as horrible as the issues many people including myself seem to face on 11.x.

Totally agree w/ u. I've been on iOS since somewhere along the 2.x release cycle and never complained about an update - save for 4.0 on my 3G which killed that phone in every way possible :D

But the big difference between iOS 4.0 on the iPhone 3G and iOS 11 on the iPhone *insert every supported model name here* is that they did their best to remedy the iOS 4.0 issues on the 3G which became apparent as the .x releases were deployed. 4.1 was notably better, and 4.2 was actually quite tolerable in terms of performance; I personally got the impression that the mediocre hardware of the 3G couldn't really do better running such modern software no matter how much they wanted it to. And back in that day, anyone could easily go back to 3.x on their iPhone 3G if they wanted to - it was lacking in terms of features and app support but performed somewhat better. However, on iOS 11, several problems that were around on launch day (11.0) are still around despite dozens of minor updates, and there is no way for us to roll back to 10.x or any other version.

Installed this release twice! Springboard crashes once a day on 7+. I’ll stay on 11.2.2 till last release of iOS 11 I guess

I’m definitely getting worse battery life on my X with 11.2.5, I’m getting home after work with about 20% less.

Insanely enough, a 4S on 9.3.5 with a fresh battery gets much better battery life than my 5S on 11.2.5 which also has a fresh battery. I did a clean install on the 4S and then went on to download around 25 apps over wifi and listened to some music for a while - battery went down about 20%. The 5s would probably have been down to 50% with the same usage. The 4s also hasn't seen any app crashes yet which happens frequently on iOS 11

The 4s is obviously a lot more sluggish and I will not be using it long term but it's interesting to see the difference in software quality and stability with iOS 9 vs 11.

Let's hope 11.3 does some magic. I've read some really positive posts from users who are running beta 1 - guess we'll just have to wait and see :)

I remember with iOS 9 they specifically focused on extending battery life. Let's see what 11.3 and later do.
