Experiencing pretty crappy battery life on my 5s. Updated through iTunes from 11.2.2 as soon as 11.2.5 became available. Can't see how a clean install would alleviate the problem since I did a clean install through iTunes when 11.2.2 was released - and that was quite recently. Getting 4-5 hours of light usage whereas on iOS 10 I always got close to 10 hours.
Phone isn't too old either, it was manufactured in Jan 2017 according to the s/n and battery health is still good. Performance is otherwise solid, and has been on all 11.x versions, but the battery life is becoming an issue for me. I've never been the guy to carry a spare charger in his pocket throughout the day but if things don't improve I might have to become that guy
Anyone else seeing similar issues on the 5s?
[doublepost=1517071921][/doublepost]I might add that I'm not a heavy user - I mostly use my phone for calls, iMessages and WhatsApp. Most of the heavy stuff is done on my MBP or my iPad. As such, I've never really experienced the "sudden battery death syndrome" which has been reported on various iOS releases throughout the years (I remember people saying that iOS 6 was considerably worse then 5.x in terms of battery, but never noticed it myself...) - however on 11.x my experience has been that battery life has been drastically reduced compared to 10.x or earlier versions.
On a side note, I just got a brand new battery for my old 4s which has now been installed and is currently charging. It'll be fun to use that phone for a day to see how its battery life with a brand new battery compares to my 5s on iOS 11. As I recall, battery life on the 4s was kinda crappy back in the day - but I can't remember it being as horrible as the issues many people including myself seem to face on 11.x.

Let's call it my personal grudge: Until iOS 11, I never had 1/3 of my battery life wiped out by a software update.
Totally agree w/ u. I've been on iOS since somewhere along the 2.x release cycle and never complained about an update - save for 4.0 on my 3G which killed that phone in every way possible
But the big difference between iOS 4.0 on the iPhone 3G and iOS 11 on the iPhone *insert every supported model name here* is that they did their best to remedy the iOS 4.0 issues on the 3G which became apparent as the .x releases were deployed. 4.1 was notably better, and 4.2 was actually quite tolerable in terms of performance; I personally got the impression that the mediocre hardware of the 3G couldn't really do better running such modern software no matter how much they wanted it to. And back in that day, anyone could easily go back to 3.x on their iPhone 3G if they wanted to - it was lacking in terms of features and app support but performed somewhat better. However, on iOS 11, several problems that were around on launch day (11.0) are still around despite dozens of minor updates, and there is no way for us to roll back to 10.x or any other version.
