Touch ID seems to be much, much, improved for me on this beta. On previous betas, it was hit or miss. Now it is working very well and quickly.
The home screen sliding up animation is very noticeable though. Maybe it was there before, but because unlocking was either not happening, or very slow, so I may not have noticed because I was focused on getting it unlocked.
Despite that, it is much improved for me on my Iphone 6.

Yeah 7 Plus also. I kinda regret installing this one because it means I've gotta update the X straight away on Friday for my back up to work
Yeah but isn't that hard just instead the dev profile on iphone X and then your good to restore from your other iPhone running iOS 11.2 Beta 1

I’ve never bought an iPhone while I was in the middle of a beta cycle. What are my options for restoring a new iPhone when I get it Friday?
Backup your current iPhone that is on iOS 11.2 Beta 1 . When you get a iPhone X set up the phone like normal then install the developer profile on your iPhone X and update to iOS 11.2 Beta 1 then you can restore with your backup from your other iPhone

Found a new stutter issue on Plus phones. Hold your iPhone in Landscape and open the app switcher when it has multiple apps in the background and swipe up control centre. Heavy stuttering

Of course you have. I don’t think anyone around MR is surprised you’ve found a stutter when performing multiple steps that no person would ever encounter in day to day use.

Like really...who uses CC at the same time they’re in the app switcher, while also in landscape orientation.

And btw, as others have also mentioned. Tried your steps to reproduce and found no stutter.

Does the Bluetooth icon still show as connected in the status bar even when not connected?

YouTube app has been a mess for a long time.

Agree. Ridiculous how they can push out such frequent "bug fixes and performance improvements" updates and the app is still so stuttery and jittery even on newer iPhone models.

There’s a shared up next? That’s pretty cool, I must have missed that. I don’t have a developer account so I can’t test it yet but I will as soon as it drops for the public beta users.
lol, yes, it’s basically to allow two or more users to add a song to the queue that is playing on an airplay 2 speaker, such as an apple tv 4gen/4K

i just need some closure before i join that beta life

if you pull down on the first page of your homescreen, you get a row of suggested apps.
this same behavior now applies if you scroll all the way to the top of the widgets screen and keep scrolling.

I wish they left the notification center alone and let us have spotlight search by pulling down a little bit from the top of the screen (as it is in iOS 10) as opposed to having to go to widgets now or going to the home screen.

Yeah, instant access to Spotlight from any app was quite a convenient feature.

I’m on 11.1 beta 5 right now and I can too scroll down from the top of widgets screen and access Spotlight with the row of suggested apps. I guess it’s there right from 11.0.

The X might not been get beta 1 as pointed out by atlchamp. The iPad Pro 10.5 didn’t get iOS 11 until beta 2. Meaning you won’t be able to restore your backup until beta 2.

Time to not back up between now and then haha. Hasn’t backed up since last night so I’m fine

Yep
[doublepost=1509428955][/doublepost]Actually I’m not sure, as my watch is connected

Anyone experiencing this? I’m running this beta and when I check for update it tells me I’m on the latest (dev profile)

Also anyone else have a 6s getting somewhat warm/hot?

Still getting the spinning wheel that won’t go away in status bar. Needs a reset to make it go away. I wonder if there’s actually stuff going on in the background or if the icon just gets stuck.

I can confirm this issue on my 7+. Was there in earlier versions of 11.1beta also and could be solved by activating Siri. But now it seems different.

What problems do you have with the youtube app? Seriously, I watch youtube videos almost everyday and the official app is working fine for me. Plus, they fully support smart invert colours now like Facebook so good work by google IMO unlike many third party apps that take ages to support new APIs.

Perhaps they need to stop bothering about space time continuum and focus more on the app at hand. :p

why the jump to 11.2 already if it adds no new features? just make it 11.1.1

remember when a X.X update meant yay new features. hoping for iCloud Messages in an upcoming .2 beta

Apple should make the widgets as the notification banners with only one colour instead of two with the top bar. I think that would look cleaner and more consistent.
