Whenever fresh restart the App Store, there is a box showing “ turn on Bluetooth to allow App Store to connect to accessories”. Is this a bug? IPhone 7 Plus user here.

This is awesome! Does anyone have any idea how it would work with multiple Apple TVs in the house? It’d be nice if you could select different ones like you can with the Remote widget.
If you have multiple devices on ios 11.2b1 can you test out shared up next?

There’s a shared up next? That’s pretty cool, I must have missed that. I don’t have a developer account so I can’t test it yet but I will as soon as it drops for the public beta users.

Yeah 7 Plus also. I kinda regret installing this one because it means I've gotta update the X straight away on Friday for my back up to work

Would you agree or disagree with this statement - iPhones have become so advanced that per their Geekbench scores, they are now rivaling baseline Macs?

Do consumers buy a new Mac every year for the new model? Most don’t, as they tend to last awhile.

But here’s the 1,000 dollar question (see what I did there?) why would Apple purposely slow iPhone’s down after 2 years but not Macs? The answer is...look at their quarter earnings reports and see where they get the majority of their profits from - iPhones.

They can’t have people keeping their iPhones for too many years. I don’t understand people on this forum...Apple doesn’t have to maliciously write in their code to slow down iPhones all they have to do is purposefully not optimized the code, you’ll get the same outcome.

My theory is most people don't care if it drops frames or there's an icon 2 pixels higher than it should be so they don't focus on it OR they're too incompetent to know how to optimize/fix it. In that case, we need Scott Forstall back.

Hey guys I just noticed that if we are getting an iPhone X soon there is no developer profile for 11.2 for the X. Is apple going to add that to the developer profile on Friday? I would assume so right? That is a massive problem if they don't add it until beta 2 if you update your current phone to 11.2 and have back ups running with all your texts etc since then
I’m 99% certain the iPad 10.5 didn’t get iOS 11 until beta 2.

So, you probably won’t see it until beta 2. Meaning, you should downgrade to 11.1B5 and create a backup. If it’s not too late.

Is there anyway I can downgrade to 11.1 from 11.2 without losing my data? Does the option click thing for Mac work?

Disappointing there’s no sign of messages in iCloud yet.

Doesn’t seem like it would be something that would take a great deal of new work to implement

Huh? Anytime you’re dealing with cloud based products you’re talking about literally recoding the way devices talk to one another and involving the security and complexity of cloud infrastructure too? This is probably something they underestimated which is why they pushed it back.

Remove the profile
Download the 11.1 ipsw
Option+click on update in iTunes
Select the 11.1 ipsw

Should work. Has for me and others (for past versions) but also some people haven’t been as successful.

Yeah but doesn’t the fact there are so many other cloud based services already reduce that workload quite a bit (to the point of such a delay being extraordinary)? I’m assuming there’s quite a bit of overlap.. - this may be foolish

What do those services have to do with this? You think they just flip a switch on their end of things and walla it’s there. There are massive things to implement and tbh I wouldn’t be surprised to see them scrap it all together from iOS 11 and leave it for iOS 12. This takes a lot of work and development and it appears they aren’t anywhere close to making it even available for developers again.

Being that it’s only X.x updates and not much as changed, it should be fine. Maybe wait until the final is out tomorrow and if you have an iPad or other device, give it a test.

No you’ve overly simplified what I’m saying. But if you know that it means basically building it from the ground up, I’m a little surprised but not arguing against it.

It’s a bit surprising too that it was announced at all if the timing is that far off/you expect it may not be ready for another year.

I’ve never bought an iPhone while I was in the middle of a beta cycle. What are my options for restoring a new iPhone when I get it Friday?

The X might not been get beta 1 as pointed out by atlchamp. The iPad Pro 10.5 didn’t get iOS 11 until beta 2. Meaning you won’t be able to restore your backup until beta 2.

I always set up as fresh install and re download apps dont need back up of phones best to start fresh on a new phone

Still getting the spinning wheel that won’t go away in status bar. Needs a reset to make it go away. I wonder if there’s actually stuff going on in the background or if the icon just gets stuck.
I saw that in previous betas and I wondered what it was, but to be honest, I never thought about reporting it in case it was normal behavior.
On this beta I am not seeing it when I look for it. Is there certain actions that causes it to appear, or is it always there until you reboot?
