iOS 11.2 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes and Improvements

The app itself is fine. Usage is fine, though I would argue that the video player itself should be improved from the current one (should make it more like the new in-house iOS 11 music player).

It's not a total hindrance to usage in itself, but I find that it lags in certain areas frequently. It definitely can use more polish, which I'm surprised hasn't been done given the frequency of updates they have pushed out.
 
Same bugs still there:

- take a photo or video horizontally and it ends up being vertical (annoying for video) randomly occurs, happened on iOS11 and 11.1
- iBooks - books randomly disappear even though they have been downloaded already (redownload and any bookmarks disappear) Randomly occurrence and after every iOS update
- No way to highlight text in books via iBooks (option there in iOS10) removed or bug?
 
The issue with TouchID sometimes not recognizing your fingerprint on the lock screen has definitely been resolved.
I think this became an issue with 11.0.2

iPhone 8+ Camera keep refocusing constantly.. not sure if this is beta issue or hardware! It started a few beta’s ago and stopped and now its back! Anyone else go this?

Same findings on my iPhone 6 too. I mentioned in an earlier post that this beta is super fast,smooth and lag free compared to even ios 10.3. Good work Apple.
 
Beta fixed Control Center, Source Touch Camera, Take Portrait. Was not a huge bug but it now works.

Horizontal FaceTime doesn’t work properly. Camera stays vertical. Can anyone else confirm? iPhone 7.

Maybe Apple thinks a working calculator is a new feature?

There can very well be more to an update than what we see or what's in beta 1. As for remembering updates meaning something for new features, is that like let's say iOS 6.1 that added something like new maps for Japan and that was mostly it? I'm sure most of us were quite excited about that one.
 
Before adding to wiki, can anyone try the following and see if you get locked up requiring a reboot (or a few times it re-springed)
1: go to widget screen and scroll down a few times to get the siri search to appear. (try normal and slowly scroll it back and forth a few times. Eventually the siri search disappears and there is a blank area.
2: Go back to home screen and see if it appears like the attached pic.
It may take a couple of times but it pretty much 100% it will put the search on top of home screen and loose the dock totally. Only thing that will work in this state is search. You can go to widgets and select something in there to open but home screen will stay frozen either re-springing eventually or requiring a restart.

You are talking about the SOS feature which is different from that.

Well remember this is a beta 1. So before its released there may very well be some new features added (iCloud messages for example) Hard to make that call on the 1st beta of a new update. They seem to be getting some other issues in order 1st. Like I am glad they finally fixed the calculator, 3D touch frame drops, 3D touch into wifi to see available networks. And looks like maybe the weather widget if finally working again.

Need to delete the beta profile and reinstall it according to other posts here.

Well Dang, Yep stopped again here for me too. It's been updating for a while (I installed 11.2 late last night) and it worked even through this morning. Now its jacked again.
