Good point. I suspect some of the micro battery managers here actually use more battery checking on it rather than just using the device as needed.

exactly - they are worrying about percentages far more than actually having an issue where their phone is almost out of battery and it would prevent them from doing anything.

I like collecting phones and keeping them for a long time so I avoid charging my phones frequently so as to make the battery last. On iOS 10 I can confidently say that even with very heavy usage it was easily lasting 7-8 hours. Very heavy usage has my 7 Plus dead in 4-5 hours on iOS 11 if I game for half an hour, spend an hour of browsing on Safari and see some videos.

It wouldn't really bother me if the 8 Plus had similar battery life but it aggravates me when I see the 8 Plus getting the battery life I used to get on iOS 10. Scouring through a lot of Reddit threads shows the 8 Plus easily gets around 10 hours of usage. If used conservatively it can last 12-13 hOurs

Apple themselves say the 7 Plus lasts as long as 8 Plus.
Im assuming Apple means a new 7 Plus with a fresh battery. It would make sense for you to get lower numbers since the battery is used.

iPhone 7 Plus here with a useless phone app now. iOS 11 is such a POS software. Well done Apple
Seems like some sort of weird beta (and/or install) type of issue. Have you tried what's been suggested in some posts relating to this type of thing, like the one below:

I was having all kinds of problems with the phone app on my 7+ after this update. I had tried every suggestion until I saw somebody say to put the phone in airplane mode for a few seconds then turn it off. It worked! Not only is my visual voicemail back, the app itself is more responsive and hasn't crashed. Now I wish I could figure out WHY it works when nothing else does. If Beta 4 is released tomorrow as was reported here earlier, I think I might read the thread here before downloading. That was brutal!

Yeah several here including me had a weird issue with phone app. Several options to resolve from simply toggling airplane mode (for a few seconds), resetting all settings (which solved it for me), and a full erase all content and restore last backup. Still have the delay when selecting settings>phone but so far the app hasn't flaked out anymore since resetting all settings Tuesday at like 11:45pm.

That's pretty profound... and I cannot disagree with it.

Mmm. Not so much, at least in my case. iOS 11 performed quite well, though battery life was not what I had hoped. I wiped it, set it up as new and now am running 11.2 b3 and quite happy with it. It took a little bit of my time to set it up as new, fresh install of apps, etc, but it was well worth it. BTW, this was the first time I've done this since I got the iPhone 4 back in 2010... I've always just restored the new device from the backup... and install the new iOS over the top as they came out.

Did anyone encounter this, content from the weather app gone? Certain things are just blank, and it goes away with a restart.

I wonder if this is related to the AT&T issues late yesterday? Seems to have the same fix (restart/toggle airplane mode).

Has this beta 3 included the fix that came out with 11.1.2 just now for the X
I would expect those changes to arrive with beta 4, given that beta 3 arrived on Monday. Since these fixes were delayed until today at 1PM PST, they should not be present in 11.2 beta 3.

Has this always been there? What does it mean exactly? If I disable this does that mean that I won’t receive calls on my Apple Watch too?

I can access my previous app purchases on iPhone, but not iPad. Anybody experienced this issue?

Reported.

When you turn off wifi in control center and it says will disconnect until tomorrow, that is not so. It starts connecting to networks again. Anyone else? What exactly does “nearby” networks mean? If I disconnect and arrive at home will it automatically connect even though it’s not supposed to until “tomorrow?”

There are a few conditions when it might try to reconnect: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208086

No. The fixes were included in beta 3. But they added those fixes in a separate update for the public, hence 11.1.2. I can assume this as I used to have the bug, but it was fixed with beta 3.

I just checked with my watch. I just made a call with the setting turned off.
