I didnt notice until today but the phone app on 7+ is not working/unresponsive and slow.

Had a similar issue with my friends 6 on iOS 11.0.3. I deleted all call logs. Waited a while and got another full list from almost a month back. Deleted that and then it went back to normal. I guess there is some data corruption which happenes. Give it a shot and let me know if that works.
[doublepost=1510808235][/doublepost]I lost all my downloaded music in beta 3. I will have to redownlosd all of it. Around 10 gigs.

I understand these are beta releases, so I don’t expect them to be perfect. I was wondering though if anyone is experiencing issues with the podcasts app. It seems to crash whenever I’m playing audio and it’s checking for new podcasts in the background. I’m not sure if I subscribe to too many or if there’s something else going on? It seemed to be present in iOS 11 and then was gone in 11.1, and now the crash is back in 11.2. If anyone else is having issues with the podcasts app I would appreciate feedback. I’ve sent a crash report every time it happens.

I recommend using Overcast. It is a much better app, hands, down.

I went to the Store and got the battery checked out. The battery is in fine health. They ran diagnostics on it and no error came up.

Is the ability to store imessages in the cloud coming with this update?

Mark...

Wow that's extremely good battery life. I have exactly the same usage time in Safari right now and it's the top app in battery usage. 2 hours 35 min of use and 14 hours 35 min of idle and battery life is already on 76% and this is after disabling Bluetooth for Apple Watch and 35% brightness. If you update to iOS 11, expect a huge decrease on battery life on your 7 as my 7 Plusbis doing worse than your 7 on iOS 11.
The good battery life migh also have something to do with it only being 2 months old (got it on the same day of the 8/x announcement... because it was a super sale, and I don't need to spend $699/$999 for a cell phone :D

Nice you also get to enjoy that speedy home button which even the 8 Plus doesn't have so it's more responsive. :)

Anyway now that I have made the trip to the store and also done everything I can , I am confident iOS 11 is just not a good release for the 7 Plus. Just saw the video posted in one of the channels and it seems this beta is actually worse than the 11.1 public release. It's very bad for that guy and all the issues he is facing like heat and battery dropping every couple of minutes is just what I am facing on my 7. Interesting. I think I will try downgrading back to 11.1 and see how it is there.

I'm finding the same on my 7+. I know it's radon's life's mission to bad mouth ios11 but I am actually enjoying this beta. I don't have many apps on for background refresh but I have location on all the time and I have "hey siri" on and my screen is set for auto brightness. I'm basically not taking any extreme measures to conserve battery life and it's still getting me a solid 6 or 7 hours of use. Mainly streaming services like spotify or siriusxm or youtube.

Was watching around 3 episodes on Netflix and battery only dropped like 7%, Battery is much better on my 7 + in this beta.
Google finally fixing youtube is also good.

Question to you. Do you find this battery life good? Brightness is around 30% and disabled background app refresh. All I have done is browser the web and not watched a single video.

IMO I think its not terrible, but I rarely have my phone drop that low. Its on a charger at work and charger in the car.
I like collecting phones and keeping them for a long time so I avoid charging my phones frequently so as to make the battery last. On iOS 10 I can confidently say that even with very heavy usage it was easily lasting 7-8 hours. Very heavy usage has my 7 Plus dead in 4-5 hours on iOS 11 if I game for half an hour, spend an hour of browsing on Safari and see some videos.

It wouldn't really bother me if the 8 Plus had similar battery life but it aggravates me when I see the 8 Plus getting the battery life I used to get on iOS 10. Scouring through a lot of Reddit threads shows the 8 Plus easily gets around 10 hours of usage. If used conservatively it can last 12-13 hOurs

Apple themselves say the 7 Plus lasts as long as 8 Plus.

My battery life has been fantastic - but I'm not sitting there obsessing about percentages all day, so there's that
And turning WiFi and BT on and off constantly trying to squeeze a few more minutes of battery. Which BTW probably uses more battery firing up the display to do so than just leaving it alone :)

And is everyone with a 7 Plus having the same type of experience as you, to the same degree?

Can you show me any 7 Plus user having 10-12 hour usage and 20 hours standby on iOS 11? So far all the 7 Plus screenshots on this forum I have seen all show similar battery life to mine. There are 8 Plus phones with 7 hours usage time with 50% battery left.

Thats one of the reasons I have the battery% indicator off... I would be staring at it all day lol.
This has actually turned out to be a blessing with the X. I've pulled CC down specifically to check battery percentage one time since I got this phone and it was just to see that it worked. As long as my phone is still on when I go to bed I don't think about battery life anymore.

When going through attachments in a messages thread when you scroll past a certain point, it jumps right back to the top. Really annoying when you're trying to find a picture someone sent you and its constantly scrolling all the way up and making you start your search over.

Good point. I suspect some of the micro battery managers here actually use more battery checking on it rather than just using the device as needed.
