They released essentially the GM version as beta 6 prior to the release, meaning what was released is what they were planning to release, it just happened a few days or so earlier than they otherwise planned.

Agreed.. okay.. y’all beat me down.. lol.. I’ll withdraw the “rushed out” comment., but still - super buggy release.
About half of us with the haptic bump coming out of an app back to home screen? Seriously, Apple?!

Hi there guys!

Just updated to the iOS11.2 on my SE device. Since then I don’t have sound anymore. My phone thinks the headphones are plugged in. Although I do not see this in the bugslist, a friend has the same problem after the update (also SE). Is this already brought to your attention, and someone has a fix? And yes, just to be sure, I checked and cleaned the hole to be certain there isn’t any dust inside. (Also, excuse me for my english, as it isn’t my native language :) )
[doublepost=1513131643][/doublepost]Today my iPhone X started doing something weird. Every call I get immediately rings very low, I have. Plums ringer set at max. This happened after I us d my bose 35 headphones this morning. My BT is off

It seems that there are definitely people being affected by bugs, while there are others who aren't really affected by most of them. Hard to really say it's that much different than many other releases.

My iPhone 8 Plus is stuck at 90% while plugged in and in use. Before it would charge even if it’s in use while plugged in. Does anyone else have this issue?
I’m going to downgrade to 11.1.2, at least there’s no battery issue.
Come on, apple! Please?

Not bad, not bad at all. Helps turning airplane mode on while I’m at work all day since we have terrible Wi-Fi there. Lol And it would be even better if I hadn’t spent an hour or so chatting with my cousin on her FB live video. It was worth it though. :D (7 Plus)

Completely wiped iPad Pro 9.7
Installed fresh iOS 11.2
Reinstalled all apps by hand.
Everything runs fast and smooth like butter.
Battery life is good.

I love your optimism lol. If I had that kind of battery life I would be angry to put it mildly.

Yeah.. I’m certainly open to the idea that a DFU full restore can clean up certain things and that people doing most of their firmware updates OTA (over the air) to 11.2 could be in the equation of some of this bugginess. Back on iOS 9 I had several weird buggy issues until I did a full DFU Restore/Set Up As New. A real pain to do - but can be a real overall cleaner-upper of weirdness.

What setting exactly are you referring to? I dont see anything other than block in that section. Not certain if I have had the issue you describe as I don't recall getting a phone call from someone this would apply to.

[Edit] I believe the setting you are referring to is settings>contacts>siri & search> find contacts in other apps. Its been moved in 11.

No it's there. But it won't show unless you actually have some apps install that have the feature, like Sync.ME;

What these apps do is doing a identification search on unknown callers telling me who is actually calling and also doing a match towards "SPAM" databases and marking calls as potential SPAM if they get any hits.

So if lets say someone outside my contact list is calling me, Sync.ME will do a match towards their database, or the app that my company uses "Telenor MBN" will do a similar match towards 1881.no the biggest phone book database in Norway and if they get any matches I will get the contact name and information from their database so instead of only having a random phone number displaying I would get actual relevant contact details even when the number is not in my personal contact list.

This worked perfectly before, but it has stopped working completely with iOS 11.1.X and iOS 11.2. This functionality is simply not able to do anything it seems in iOS 11.2.

Well that explains it. I was thinking about the scan of email feature for callerID. Perhaps the next update will resolve it.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but I have a weird thing that happens on my iPhone 7 (and a 2017 iPad) occasionally.
After my phone has been charging and I unplug it, I can watch the app icons on my home screen randomly flicker for about 10 seconds. One will flicker, then a different one, and so on. Sometimes a few at a time. Haven’t been able to get a video yet but curious if y’all have seen this.
Looks like it was app cleaning happening so fast that I could barely see it.

I'm on 9.02 jailbroken safari web pages crash a lot I think it might be time to update to 11 and give up JB as long as I can still download movie box I'm good. How do I do a DFU restore I've never done one before?

Make sure that you’re running the latest version of iTunes. Then, put your device in DFU mode and connect it to your computer/iTunes. It will download the latest iOS and install it for you. Good luck.

While I am glad that it is more stable now, RAM management is still bad though. I don't like apps refreshing, and yes I game a lot and have lots of apps open. It wasn't like that before.

Turn off (or back on) Background App Refresh in Settings—> General.

Before 11.2 3D touch multitasking had two levels. One press allowed you to switch between apps and a deeper press opened the standard app switcher. Only the first level works in 11.2. You can get to the app switcher by doing some sort of swipe but it's hard to replicate or describe.

Not sure what happened, but this feature is back again on 11.2. It disappears from time to time.
