until iOS11.2, when it was in lock screen, my iphone x showed carrier name had a slide motion to see the whole name...now its static
How is yours?

Only slight issue I've noticed on my X is a slight lag when typing in any messaging app (Messages and WhatsApp primarily). It lags when I reach the end of the text window and move onto start a second line. Anybody else experiencing this?

Both my friend and gf’s 6S’ run/ran iOS 11.1 and 11.2 well (though I kept them from upgrading to iOS 11.0 because I didn’t feel it was up to snuff). Normal OTA installs. A clean install won’t hurt though.
if you are using a 6 don't update to ios 11 if you don't wanna suffer lags stay on 10.3.3 i'm speaking from experience
[doublepost=1512309368][/doublepost]anyone else 6s and above can update to ios 11.2 without lags but 5s and 6 should stay on 10.3.3

My iPhone 5s as well as my wife’s iPhone 5s run fine on iOS 11.2.

are you sure about that because my brothers 5s , 6 and 6plus are experiencing lags and stutters and my own 6 also and we're all heavy users of the iphone apps like snapchat , instagram , facebook and twitter ... lags occur to be more consistent when on low power mode on this devices but even on a normal battery run experiences lags and stutters also most especially multitasking has drastically reduced

What’s the best way to go from beta 6 to the public release 11.2? Or how do I know if I’m still on beta 6 or not?

Yes, maybe we are lucky. But we are not using facebook and instagram, maybe that helps. I am using twitter though.

As many people have told you, across multiple threads, your experiences are far from universal. It’d be good if you’d stop asserting them as such.

I have 5S running iOS11.2 and it runs fine... though there are a few instances where 10.3 was smoother. Even 11.1.2 was good and that may be because earlier versions of iOS11 were not as smooth.

One thing I notice - if you are using high resolution wallpaper (higher than 5S native resolution), then all animations become very jerky and you notice significant lag. So now I am sticking with 5S resolution wallpapers and it runs fine.
So if you have high res wallpaper, it might be a good idea to crop it and size it to iPhone's native resolution.

Before 11.2 3D touch multitasking had two levels. One press allowed you to switch between apps and a deeper press opened the standard app switcher. Only the first level works in 11.2. You can get to the app switcher by doing some sort of swipe but it's hard to replicate or describe.

Working ok for me on my 7 on 11.2 b6.

Can’t work out how to upload my screen recording....

Please don't push blanket advisories like this, especially when wrong. I have a 5s with me that is running fine on 11.2 as it did on 11.1.2 and 10.3.3. No immediately noticeable difference.

That said, I doubt if I will update this to iOS 12 unless it promises to be leaner on resources. :)

My iPhone 6 is slower on iOS 11 than on iOS 10.

This is to hard reboot your phone, which you shouldn’t do unless you are having an issue.

3D Touch multitasking on my iPhone 6s running iOS 11.2 beta 6 is working as it should (beta 6 and the public release should be identical), and I’m curious to know how widespread this is. Is this only affecting some iPhone 6s models or is it across multiple iPhone models with 3D Touch?

The video below is my iPhone 6s with 3D Touch multitasking:
